  1. It was a great week for the 7th region as Saint Xavier defeated 6th Region Butler 83-76 to capture their first LIT Championship since 1965 and Guard Chance Dillingham was named tournament MVP and has proven he is one of the best guards in the 7th Region. Trinity lost to Saint Xavier in the semifinals 59-58 in OT on a controversial buzzer beater put back by St. X but video review showed the basket should have not counted, but Kentucky HS rules don't allow for video review so the basket counted. The game was an exciting back and forth game as neither team could put either away. Trinity's Julius Edmonds gave St. X trouble down low scoring 17 pts and getting 7 rebounds. Andrae Vasser also contributed 11 pts and 9 rebounds. St. X's Jermaine "Chief" Cameron led the Tigers with 14 pts and 6 rebounds. Connor Klein came off the bench for the Tigers and hit 4-6 threes and had 12 pts. This should set up a big rematch between St. X and Trinity on 1/26 at Bellarmine University in a packed house environment. Male lost to St. X 79-71 in the LIT. Manual lost to Butler 55-49 in the semifinals of the LIT. Eastern lost to Trinity 55-43 in the LIT. 1. Trinity (15-4) 2. Saint Xavier (15-2) 3. Manual (14-2) 4. Male (12-5) 5. Eastern (11-6) 6. Christian Academy - Louisville (10-6) 7. Ballard (5-9) 8. Kentucky Country Day (9-4) 9. Seneca (6-6) 10. Central (3-8) 11. Highlands Latin (10-5) 12. Atherton (5-11) 13. Shawnee (10-6) 14. Waggener (5-8) 15. Collegiate (6-9) 16. Portland Christian (3-9) 17. Brown (4-11) 18. Francis Parker (4-7)
  2. He's not listed on their roster on KHSAA website.
  3. 1st time in my life they won LIT. 59 year losing streak broke.
  4. Looks like bad call but was heck of game. They will play again on 1/26 and I would think would be good game. Trinity is definitely very good defensively. Julius Edmonds was good down low as he got several baskets in the paint.
  5. Trinity defense winning this one so far holding the Tigers way below average. Trinity's Alex Johnson didn't play much of 2Q quarter due to 3 fouls. Should be a good 2nd half.
  6. Butler a mystery team. Beat Male and Manual but have 7 losses. Here they are in LIT Championship. Congrats to the Bears!
  7. My power ratings for this one: St. X: 77.51 Trinity: 72.97 Should be great game and won't be surprised if either win since both great teams.
  8. Trinity #2 in Maxpreps ratings and St. X #11. I think this will be close. St. X wore down Male with their track meet pace and a great game from Chance Dillingham scoring 31pts. St. X utilized 9 players in Male game because to play fast pace need some reserves to give some breathers. I'm not sure how deep Trinity is and how they will handle the pace. Trinity is great defensive team and will make it tough on St. X to score. St. X will have to slow Drae Vasser, Jayden Johnson, and Julius Edmonds who are as good of a trio there is.
  9. St. X last won the championship in 1962 but are tied for 3rd in the state for most championships with 4.
  10. After watching stall ball for years. It's a welcome change and more entertaining to watch. I was advocate for shot clock because of years watching St. X. Lol.
  11. I looked at stat report for St. X and St. X played 9 players and what is remarkable is none of the 9 are seniors.
  12. Chance Dillingham was dialed in tonight and Male looked like got tired in 2nd half because St. X plays so fast. These two will meet again at least two more times. Male is also without Antonio Harris who is injured but not sure what his status is as far as returning. Trinity is great defensive team so Tigers will have to play at high level again to beat them.
  13. St. X up 60-46 end of 3Q. Big quarter for Tigers. I thought Male looked gassed from playing this fast pace.
