  1. Manual advances to 2nd round of LIT.
  2. Tigers roll into 2nd round of LIT and will face the winner of Male vs. Seneca.
  3. The Trinity Shamrocks recapture the top spot after winning the Sugar Bowl Classic in Louisiana where they beat the #2 ranked team in Louisiana, Peabody HS, 48-45. Trinity is playing suffocating defense after holding 4 of their last 5 opponents under 40 pts. The LIT starts this week and Trinity looks like the team to beat. Manual was idle the last week and starts the LIT against Bullitt East and being on opposite side of the bracket from Trinity we could see an all 7th Region final. Saint Xavier this past week beat Butler County 82-79 and now start the LIT against Moore and could play Male in a big 2nd round game. Male defeated Christian County 79-49 and beat Hopkinsville 83-76. Male starts the LIT against Seneca and could play St. X in a big 2nd round matchup. Christian Academy-Louisville lost to DeSales in their last game 66-65 and start the LIT against against East Louisville rival Ballard. Kentucky Country Day beat Highlands Latin in the 7th Region All "A" Classic. Should be a good upcoming week with the start of the LIT. 1. Trinity (13-3) 2. Manual (12-1) 3. Saint Xavier (11-2) 4. Male (11-4) 5. Christian Academy-Louisville (9-5) 6. Eastern (10-5) 7. Ballard (4-8) 8. Seneca (6-5) 9. KY Country Day (9-4) 10. Highlands Latin (9-4) 11. Atherton (5-11) 12. Shawnee (9-5) 13. Waggener (5-8) 14. Central (2-7) 15. Collegiate (5-8) 16. Portland Christian (2-9) 17. Brown (4-10) 18. Francis Parker (3-7) Rankings by RPI: 1. Manual 2. Trinity 3. St. X 4. Male 5. CAL 6. KCD 7. Eastern 8. Highlands Latin 9. Shawnee 10. Ballard 11. Atherton 12. Waggener 13. Central 14. Collegiate 15. Brown 16. Francis Parker 17. Portland Christian Seneca not rated due to missing game scores on KHSAA scoreboard.
  4. That's surprising score. I wonder if Central was missing any players.
  5. I didn't watch whole game but what I saw was Butler County was hitting shots and the Tigers could have played better defense. Tigers have LIT next so will have some tough games coming up with 2nd round game against Male and if get by the Bulldogs then Trinity.
  6. Peabody is ranked #2 in Louisiana according to Maxpreps so very good win.
  7. https://open.spotify.com/episode/5ACn5BOynf9da6dlT038DC?si=PPwD7XKbQfKwJ3tAwJovMQ Podcast link where St. X Assistant AD interviews Jack Harbaugh who was National Championship coach at Western Kentucky. Chris was at WKU at that time so has connection through that time to get this interview. It was interesting interview of Jack who talks about his time as player, coach, and father of the Harbaugh coaches. Jack coached under Coach Schembechler at Michigan and talks about the upcoming National Championship game. It's about 15 minutes and I found it interesting.
  8. Probably worst Ballard team in a long, long time.
  9. Holy Cross beats Beth Haven for 2nd time this season in 6th Region All "A" Classic.
  10. Back-to-back 20+ plus losses and 5-10 record for Scott County. Tough season for them.
  11. Trinity vs Boyle county would be close game that either team could win but since my power ratings went undefeated in championship games I would take Trinity in a close one but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Boyle County won since so many variables in a game that are hard to predict when teams are pretty equal. Maybe one day could have an open division where the best teams in the state battle for a true state champion.
  12. RPI would be better if didn't include out of state teams since it treats out of state teams like they are .500. I would also get rid of opponent's opponent and replace that with a avg margin of victory %. Could set avg margin of victory cap at 36 and that count .33% in overall rpi formula.
  13. CAL lost to Seneca so why aren't higher but if they continue to win I'm sure will move up. YW! And Thx!
  14. Manual at 12-1 has the best record in the 7th Region with their lone loss to Great Crossing so they have earned the #1 spot this past week but will have to defend it in the upcoming LIT. Trinity hangs at #2 after going 1-1 against two tough Indiana teams. St. X at #3 went to Florida and went 2-1 against some top Florida teams. Male at #4 went 1-1 this past week. Ballard at #5 had a rough week going 0-3 but the teams behind them haven't proved their better than the perennial power Bruins but so far looking like a down year by historical standards for the Bruins. 1. Manual (12-1) Manual beat Lewisburg (MS) 56-48, beat West Forsythe (NC) 71-45, and beat Hardin Valley Academy (TN) 71-63. 2. Trinity (9-3) Trinity beat Carmel (IN) 48-34 and lost to North Central (IN) 52-50. 3. Saint Xavier (10-2) St. X beat Countryside (FL) 74-61, beat North Tampa Christian (71-64), and lost to Gibbs (FL) 79-67. 4. Male (8-4) Male beat Central Hardin 81-67 and lost to Mountain Brook (AL) 58-54. 5. Ballard (4-6) Ballard lost to Christ Presbyterian Academy (TN) 78-75, lost to Hillsboro (TN) 69-55, and lost to Brentwood Academy (TN) 73-57. 6. Eastern (8-5) Eastern beat Paul Dunbar 65-38, Beat Elizabethtown 54-37, and lost to Oldham County 70-62. 7. Seneca (6-5) Seneca didn't have any games this past week on KHSAA scoreboard. 8. Christian Academy - Louisville (9-4) Beat Lincoln County (TN) 73-36, beat Spencer County 74-55, and beat Atlantic (FL) 61- 9. Central (2-6) Central didn't have any games this past week on KHSAA scoreboard. 10. KY Country Day (7-4) KCD beat Van Buren County (TN) 55-48, beat West Point (AL) 46-42, and beat Carroll (OH) 46-45. 11. Waggener (5-7) 12. Highlands Latin (7-3) 13. Atherton (4-11) 14. Shawnee (8-4) 15. Collegiate (4-7) 16. Portland Christian (2-8) 17. Brown (3-9) 18. Francis Parker (3-6)
  15. I think Manual makes it to final against either Trinity or St. X but also not counting Male out.
  16. Field is set. Bracket from Jason Frakes of Courier Journal.
  17. Brohm vs. Bush 2002 State Championship game would've had social media blowing up.
  18. Congrats to WEB Dubois on winning the tournament! Eastern runner up. Eastern beat St. X in semifinals and DuBois beat Trinity in semifinals.
  19. North Tampa Christian was 12-1 and ranked #31 in Florida so this was good win. Thanks for the recap of game since I wasn't able to watch today.
  20. Tigers go 2-1 in Florida and play Butler County next at McCracken County Mustang Madness.
