  1. The curse of st. Pat. 2016 they got the eventual champ Augusta on the draw. More than likely they just drew the 2017 champ at their crib. Not sure who draws for the Saints but I would have someone else draw next year. Am told the coach there has never been the one to draw.
  2. He resigned to spend more time with family and pursue other avenues. Okay talent coming back. JV coach will most likely get the job.
  3. Scott, Mason, Bracken, Pendleton( if the stud returns) Bourbon, Paris, Montgomery, Clark, Brossart, St. Pat,
  4. Folks, Augusta is damn good. They are very efficient in every aspect of the game which is what you expect from a team that starts 3 quality players that started 4 years, defend well, pass well, always get the 50/50 balls, aren't afraid to set picks, play excellent help side and simply know the game. They will scratch your eyes out and never ever quit. Coach Daniel started off with a good game plan. Somehow, however, MOCO got away from getting the ball inside and taking advantage of the one weakness Augusta has- size. The problem I saw from the coaching staff was the inability to adjust. I'm sure Coach Daniels will learn with more experience.
  5. Garrard was disappointing. No show. Played lazy. Didn't attack glass. Too good of a player to be a non factor in a game of this magnitude
  6. This was nothing short of a clinic by Augusta. An absolute clinic coaching and on the floor. Watching the Moco side the fans were in disbelief. Not sure why Moco didn't go to their bigs on offense. Jones and combs should have been the key targets all night long.
  7. MOCO by 13. What is over and under in Allen being at Pendleton next year? Slim to none imo
  8. I'm a 10th region follower. Do not know coach Blackburn. But goodness, he is 72-23 over 3 years and lost to the eventual region champs the first two years of his tenure there losing in the finals his first year and in OT last year in semis to Doss. I'm a little confused but again I'm not there and haven't seen his teams play. I cannot imagine they play a weak schedule? Just seems awfully hard to do much better on paper at least from what I read.
  9. Bath was coached by Gary Taylor, now an asst Coach with his son at St. Pat, in 1977 when they last went to the Sweet 16 out of the 10th region. Bruce Jones was the star. He missed a shot with 3 seconds to go and Randy Stull put in the miss as time expired. Beat a good Maysville team lead by Cere Myrick and coached by Bob Hall. Bath went on to win one game in the Sweet 16 and then faced a Ballard team led by Lamp, Raker and Eaves in the quarters. Bath stayed in the 40th district, 10th region until the mid 1990s.
  10. This is really not a surprise to me. Augusta has 3 kids that have probably played together since they were in diapers. They have started 4 years and most likely know every freckle location on each other. Plus they have been winners in big games. One is an all around jack of all trades(Snapp) who rebounds, defends, scores from mid range and fights. Another is a deft ball handler (O Crawford) who has turned into a good scorer and driver and also defends. The other (Maddox) can shoot from distant zip codes, gets his shot off in a phone both, is deceptively quick and works his bottom off to get open. Throw in there Pugh who is a nice role player and does the little things and someone's big things to help his team win. I could go on about the other two contributors but these kids are winners. Plain and simple. And they know how to win. Plus, I hear from everyone they are good and respectable kids. I hope they go to Rupp.
