Male, McCracken County, Madisonville North-Hopkins, Butler, Bullitt East, Woodford County all are comparable to Scott County and better than East Carter in my opinion. Again, though, until someone knocks off Scott County, they are at the top of the hill! I said that in the beginning so hopefully you read and understood my originals comments.

True, they are not at all. Problem is that the private schools, particularly the Louisville schools essentially start in 1st grade. It is like the old Soviet Union (okay, strong comparison) where kids are trained from 1st-8th grade at the private schools programs. I suppose we should be doing that in basketball, right?

Perhaps basketball needs to be more like volleyball and allow private school kids to play for their high school basketball team in 7th and 8th grade, which essentially is what the volleyball girls do by virtue of an incredible club volleyball structure operated by those private school Volleyball coaches!

Sure I have and they're a great ballclub. I just think there are others that are better, but as I said (which obviously is ignored by people or they can't read), until someone knocks them off they are reigning state champion and deservedly so!

Oh, trust me, if you have watched all teams in the 7th region play, there is 100% chance, and who made the second team? That list was not posted here. Regardless, congrats to all who made the first or second team and best of luck in the post-season!

So you are telling me that Browning and Samsel were the lowest vote getters on that list?????? Those two should easily make the list and that says everything to me about it. I am not going to say who should not be on there but I know about 6-7 other players who have arguments to be on there. Samsel and Browning belong regardless.

I assume coaches choose this team and there are 2 who simply don't belong with the others, but hey, coaches supposedly have seen everyone play and make an informed vote. Before anyone responds, please understand that I do not believe anyone from my particular program deserves to be on the team.

I don't even think those are the two best teams in the state of Kentucky so very interesting! Of course, until someone knocks Scott County off they stand supreme!

That is correct and I didn't recognize who it was because she was wearing #30 in that Summer game and not #20 which is how she is listed on their current roster. There is no #30 on season roster so I was confused. But I know she had a freshmen sister playing in the game as well so that is correct. Also, Stinson did get a technical earlier in the game, and I had to (cough, cough) chuckle about the "alleged" punches from that day, all 4 or 5 of them.

Yes, that is correct, Stinson is a guard and the girl who committed the assault over the Summer (not alleged as I saw the punches first hand) was one of their bigs inside. Not Stinson.

If Stinson is the same kid who started throwing punches on our Assumption player on summer ball at Mercy (and I am pretty sure she is) then she needs to be done!!!! Forever! That kid is a thug and malice to good sports! She needs to be kicked out forever!

Interesting as the "best player" title regularly goes to the kid who can score the most even when they shoot 25 times a game and only hit 7 or 8, while the kid who shuts them down and doesn't let them score but only scores 7-8 points on 5 shots is not considered as good! Flipping amazing and my daughter lives it!

Mercer has clearly played a tough schedule considering the out of state schedule but as far as in state of Kentucky, no one has played a tougher schedule than Assumption High School. Complete murderers row!

Yes, if the rule is not applied properly or that official is lazy and does not get into place to make a call or the official does the regular anticipatory whistle, then knowing the rulebook and memorizing it is pointless and means nothing. Well said and, of course, we are not there to watch the officials and some get it but others do not.

I didn't change anything associated with the facts of what occurred. I certainly elaborated on what occurred when asked specific questions and to further clarify the play, but I in no way changed the facts. Furthermore, I didn't go nuclear as someone else made the "Zero" chance comment, and I merely responded in kind. I am sure we can expect you to lecture that person for going "nuclear" but that might require a thicker skin and some objectivity, both of which you appear to be lacking. As far as officiating, I am not licensed and haven't officiated in any respects in probably 20 years, but it is no easy job to be sure. I respect you for throwing your neck out there to do so. However, don't be one of those rabbit eared officials who responds to anything a fan says with a "dislike" and who thinks we came to the game to watch him officiate. If you were there and think she didn't have control of the ball that is your call. Most everyone else in the gym thought she did have control and thought it was a walk. That is all I am saying but none of us went nuclear to the officials who didn't call it. Good day!

No 100% chance actually because it happened and our fans all saw it, the kid laughed about it afterwards and her parents joked about it afterwards. So there is Zero chance that you are correct. Zero, but if you are an official this makes perfect sense really.

No that is not true at all. The ball is in the possession of the player in the scenario you mentioned so when the right foot is raised, both feet and the ball have become part of the front court. That in no way contradicts what I said. My original comment was about people's misunderstanding of the rule mainly when a kid has two feet over and the ball is still in back court. I said nothing, though, about dribbling versus not dribbling. And Birdbrain, dislike away but if you have something to say, please have the stones to do so.

Once she picks up the right foot that was in back court, technically both feet and the ball are in front court so my original comment stands and is correct. That is two feet and the ball.

Have you ever watched a juggler? Are they controlling the objects that they are juggling? Yes. That is the manner in which she juggled the ball over her last three steps so yes, she was controlling the ball. That's a walk.

She lost control of the ball when the girl ran by her but then controlled it down the floor while, at that point taking 2-3 steps. I believe that is what I said earlier.

Okay this makes little sense to me. What is the rule if they are not dribbling?
