Sexton out with ACL injury....was hurt at the end of the season. This is still probably an upset but not a major one without her.

Here's the story from the CJ on this exciting win for the Crimson's. You can watch the game winner by clicking Cook's twitter in the middle of the article.

Groves' last-second layup leads Manual over Male

I did watch the game and can tell you that making your free throws or lack there of played a huge role in this game.

As the saying goes "Be prepared when your number is called" was very fitting in this classic game. How cool was that for Groves, who probably never expected to get into this game, comes into the game for a total of 7 seconds and gets the game winner as time expired? It was fun to watch. Congratulations to this senior that will never forget this experience.

All I can say is what was said by someone earlier, "HIT YOUR FREE THROWS!" Crazy game, crazy finish and good for that senior from Manual, who saw all of 7 seconds but 7 great seconds!

Congrats to Manual! Male has to feel snake bitten given game against them in regional tourney last year.

Definitely a blood bath in 6th & 7th Region ... the survivors actually receive a bit of relief by making the State Tourney! On the other hand, they did draw one another in 1st Round action this year. Know many have offered thoughts re seeding idea. Have to say, winners of 6th & 7th get "rewarded" by having another bloody battle with one another? If the NCAA can do it (although always somewhat flawed) surely the KHSAA can attempt it.
