Finally got to see Doss play against Fern Creek Thursday night and came away very impressed. This team is getting better at the right time. They are very athletic and long. Play an aggressive man to man defense and are disciplined on the offensive end. Have not played a great schedule,but they're as good as any team I've seen. I think they're the best team in the 6th or 7th region. The regional championship Monday night against Bullitt East could be a classic.

Nice effort from Desales. Desales packed the zone and East was ice cold from 3 point land going 6-28 from behind the arc. It would have cost them had Tyler Sharpe not scored 19 in the 4th quarter and had several steals late.

It's ok to admit when you're wrong about a team. As far as the 6th and 9th, you're being a little goofy!

East looked great tonight. This was just what the doctor ordered!

PRP had been playing well. This is a bit of a shocker.

I didn't like the way East had played the last half of the season. There must be something internal going on. Fern Creek outtoughed East tonight. That should not happen with a senior laden team.

I'm glad that Carson is attending NKU. Seems like a great fit. This will be the one and only post that I will make regarding him. Nearly all the comments that I see on BGP have been extremely supportive of this kid. I follow Bullitt East sports closely. If you want to see comments that could have ruined a kid read up on Derrek Willis. I understand a parents feelings when it comes to their children. I would never say anything critical of a young person on this site. However, with the advent of social media outstanding athletes even at the high school level have become mini celebrities. This opens them up for excessive praise and negative comments. Comes with the territory. If we raise our children right, as Yo Momma obviously has these things will only make them stronger. Just ask Derrek WIllis.

Agreed. Could be that East is sleepwalking, may need the spark of the tournament to wake them up!

To close to the postseason to be looking for combinations. Not sure what's happening, but this team does not look ready to start tournament play.

Yes it was. Woodford opened up a 10 point lead early on. East led Between 5-10 points most of the second half. I don't like the feel currently surrounding this East team. The substitution pattern seems convoluted. Will need to start clicking to get out of the 6th.

Many would have said the same of Tim Henderson, who had nowhere near the talent of Sharpe.

Tyler Sharpe has some interesting people in his corner. Denny Crum attended a recent game at East and has become a supporter of Sharpe. I think he attends D-1.

There is a lot of young talent in the area, but Sander will have to prove that the culture will change and that East is the best school for these players. It will be very interesting to see the coaching staff he puts together. I believe he is the right fit, but there will be lots of eyes on Coach Sander the next few weeks.

A long time assistant at East in multiple sports coach Vincent was hired because he had put in many years and was a dedicated staff member. An outstanding teacher and fine person he was not prepared to lead the football program as head coach. Thanks for your dedication coach, now it's time to move on! With the proper hire this program will return to winning playoff games in short notice. The talent is coming. I still think Sander would be the first choice. I don't know who the administration will hire, but they are pleased with the list of applicants.

Primarily East played zone defense which caused problems blocking out a long and athletic FC team. Tyler Sharpe draws a lot of fouls which puts East on the line often. Two very evenly matched teams. FC is rapidly improving. Nice game plan by FC. Farris and Sharpe were outstanding for East. Wales is really good. Jones killed East on the offensive boards. Can't wait for the rematch.

I don't have a dog in this fight,however I would like to say that I follow Bullitt East closely. I have never known Bob B. to take the green light off any of these kids. They like to press and push the pace. Seems like everybody gets their attempts.

I'm not sure what you mean by "recognize the other kids". Could you elaborate?

I agree 100%. I think Mr. Basketball will play in the state tournament this season.

Long way to go before this award is decided, all the players mentioned above would have to be in the running. Got my first look at Jacob King from Trinity against Bullitt East and if he continues to play at this level he's right in the mix.

Taylor and Dunbar both seem to be overrated. Central could easily have beaten Dunbar even without Wells!

Jacob King and Tyler Sharpe were both outstanding for their teams. Fun game to watch, two legit teams!

Gifted player particularly on the offensive end, very strong, good ball handler and passer and underrated on the defensive end. Gritty competitor. Does it all for his team. College coaches are sleeping on this guy.
