I keep Fox hands down. Monk's effort on the defensive end improved. Offensively he certainly didn't improve. Pretty much struggled offensively the last 8 games.

Bam made some lousy plays against UCLA. Teams double down on centers they can't defend with one player. Bam did a poor job of recognizing double teams. Should be letting the double come then find the open man. He played hard and contributed in other ways. That's cool! Learn and move on. But Bam gets no free pass.

The guy is winning at South Carolina. Final Four is within reach. The guy has been coaching for 9 seasons and has taken KState and South Carolina to Elite Eights. Martin is a self made coach, spending many years coaching Jr. high and high school teams. He has mellowed a bit since he took the SCarolina job. I'm sure his players appreciate that!

Didn't say he wouldn't. But he's not as good of a college player because his dad forgot to teach him how to play defense.

Ball has great court vision and looks to pass the ball first, a true point guard. I've heard him compared to Jason Kidd. Please! Kidd was a tremendous defender. Ball has no concept of playing defense. He was beaten off the dribble way to easily against UK. Fox had trouble all season keeping guys in front of him. He seemed to have no issue with Ball.

Any NBA decision maker that watched these two go head to head and would be comfortable drafting Ball ahead of Fox is a braver soul than I. Lonzo seemed to be in a weird state of mind, Magic had to question Ball's heart last night.

I agree that there are kids who seem to lack a competitive fire, but I certainly don't see it with the players that Cal brings in. Part of assessing your recruits. Lonzo lacked any fight against UK, should be concerning to NBA GM's.
