  1. The story regarding Tina Ball has been around for some time now, should be easily disproved. If it's not true Lavar could have shut it down immediately. He hasn't even attempted to. If the story is true what does it say about the guy to you? Does he really have the best interest of his family driving him? Not a KSR guy, I dislike Jones, but only half as much as Lavar Ball!
  2. That is exactly the point. With Lavar it's all about the money. There are many more important things in life than money. If the reports that I hear in regards to Tina Ball are true, it tells me all I need to know about Lavar.
  3. Lonzo is definitely gonna get paid. I really like the kid and his game. Lavar on the other hand seems a bit delusional.
  4. I doubt that the boys are under contract with BBB and Lavar Ball. Lavar seems like an overbearing control freak. He will find out one day that Lonzo is the boss. Many times in business this parent/ child dynamic does not end well.
  5. So making ridiculous statements that turn people against you and your son will help build your brand. That's an interesting marketing philosophy. I see issues in the future between father and son.
  6. 76 at Maywood in Bardstown on Monday. 41-36. Course is in rough shape.
  7. They can be quite lucrative. Do you resell most finds?
  8. I can't wait. I've been a regular yard saler for 30 years! It's becoming quite competitive in our area. 10 years ago you could stay out and hunt until 10AM. Now I hardly find anything past 8:30!
  9. It's that time of year! Any yard sale fanatics? Interesting finds?
  10. This is exactly why I don't watch ESPN any longer. Highlights only. I couldn't care less about the "talking heads" as my wife calls them. Lavar Ball is what's wrong with sports these days.
  11. If Ball gets hot from deep, so be it. But The Hawk will make him earn everything he gets. I am a bit concerned about UCLA posting Ball up on Hawkins.
  12. I really think this one sets up well for the Cats! The emergence of The Hawk has completely changed the complexion of this team. UK has proven that they have improved on the defensive end. Ball will get his share of Hawkins, and double teams. UCLA turned the ball over 18 times in the first meeting, that's problematic for the Bruins. Expect Cal to trap intermittently both 3/4 court and in the 1/2 court. Ball is a great ball handler and decision maker, let's find out about the others. The other glaring stat from the first game is UK got up 14 more shots from the field and attempted 6 more free throws than the Bruins. Alford has used zone defenses regularly during post season play, which tells me that there will be open looks from behind the arc. Don't expect a track meet, UCLA is a great up-tempo team. Cal has a history of getting stingy with possessions in big games. I think the Cats slow this one down, bring some physicality and move on to face the Heels. Or the other possibility is everyone freaks out and it turns into an NBA all star game!
  13. I was around Pitino in a public setting one time. We were in the box right next to him at Churchill Downs one day. He was there with Billy Minardi and another guy. He was really cool that day, very accommodating, even calling people over for autographs.
  14. Agreed. Those of us who love college basketball, are truly fortunate to have these two coaches leading our programs.
  15. They opened on Teamrankings as a 1 point favorite. Copied this off the site at about 10AM this morning. UCLA +1.0 -- -- Kentucky
  16. Why is pulling for teams in a particular conference such an issue. No different than pulling for a particular region at the high school level. Go SEC.
  17. Kentucky opens as a 1 point favorite. Florida opens at -1.5 South Carolina +3.5
  18. To think that Pitino would've won even 1 out of every 3 championships is absurd. IMO
  19. No need to rush. I'll ponder this one for awhile! It has been a great day to be a Kentucky fan!
