I am one of those fans that will keep track of foul counts. 1st half 6 fouls called against each team. 2nd half 6 called against bc and 9 called against nda.

In the high school game the center ref will call timeout after goals, injuries, cards, and penalties, so time is not wasted and the teams get to play the full 40 minute halves. In ussf (club and rec games) the time does not stop for the above issues so the ref may allow more time (stoppage time).

Sounds like the ref was consistent. I was not there but hs varsity soccer boys or girls ain't Saturday morning rec.

That has got to be it. Snow's free kick was pretty dang awesome. However I have witnessed twice this year where a team scores a big goal and the other team scores on the very next possession. What's is that about?

Yes in rereading stepover's post you are right.

Just a quick note if the ball is not in play as you say then a direct kick foul ( if it occurs in the penalty area it is a pk) cannot be given.

My feeling is that the window of time that the game was scheduled showed that there could be thunder or lighting the entire time. The game is a district game so has to be played, so rather than have both teams show with the chance it couldn't be finished it was better to reschedule.
