  1. Doerr picked up his 3rd foul. Noah to the line.... makes both. 25-24 Harlan 3:30 2Q
  2. Evangel's made four straight shots, including a 3 by Tilley, to take the lead. 24-23 Eagles 3:43 2Q
  3. Crickets from Moreno - saddled with four fouls - and Dawson in the 4Q, aside from a Moreno free throw. Crossing could get away with that against lesser teams. Lyon County is a peer.
  4. Burrell fouls out. Perry back to the FT line... makes both. 56-49 Lyon County :23 left
  5. Media timeout. Perry to the FT line when play resumes. No change in score. 50-44 Lyon County 2:19 4Q
  6. Moreno with four fouls. I'd go at him hard if I'm Lyon County. 50-41 Lyon County 3:51 remaining

  8. He doesn't have to dig deep for it, not after 3,600 career points. Even in defeat, I like that Unseld came on like he did. Sometimes, even great players can get lost in the wash. I was beginning to wonder if that was going to be the case for him today. In about five game minutes, he went from nothing to twelve points. There's a lot to like about his game.
  9. Slowing Noah probably requires taking the air out of the ball. That's a strategy I don't expect to see from anyone in Harlan County's path.
  10. 2023 Outcome Record: 10-4 Won their first region title since the 2019 state championship season in Clay Clevenger's first year at the helm. Got cut down by the Owensboro Catholic buzzsaw in the semis. 🔗 | Somerset's 2023 Statistical Leaders 🎓 Kam Hughes (RB/DB) | Brady Barnes (LB) | Tyler Nguyen (OL/DL) | Estin Bruns (OL) | Jason Gambrel (OL) | Cayden Cimala (WR) 🔙 Josh Bruner (QB) | Kris Hughes (ATH) | Austyn Lawless (LB) | Zach Koger (OL/DL) | Isaiah Lewis (DB) | Grayson Gulock (DB) | Jacob Bartley (DL) | Zasha Jones (OL) 2024 Outlook The loss of Kam Hughes - 2,200 yards/37 TDs/95 tackles/6 picks - can't be ignored, but the return of Bruner, Kam's brother Kris, and a good nucleus of up and coming talent in the freshman and sophomore classes, inspires optimism for sunny days ahead in the briar patch. A highlight of this year's schedule - an exact replica of 2023 - is a home date with 1A contender Campbellsville. 2024 Schedule Aug 9 vs. Bardstown* Aug 15 at Mercer County* Aug 23 vs. Perry County Central Aug 30 at Russell County Sep 6 at Knox Central Sep 13 at Garrard County Sep 20 vs. Campbellsville Sep 27 vs. Lincoln County Oct 4 vs. Breathitt County** Oct 11 - BYE Oct 18 at Danville** Oct 25 vs. Leslie County** Nov 1 at Glasgow *Scrimmage **District

  12. Tremendous defensive effort by Ashland this season, but they've been especially airtight lately. They faced the #3 and #1 scoring offenses in the state in their last two games, bolding both to season lows in points, and nearly slashed Lyon County's average in half today. The Tomcats lose two key pieces of this year's team, but more than enough returns to make a seventh straight trip to Rupp very attainable next season.
  13. 🇳🇬 | 🇱🇻 Final from Ashland. The Vikings (6-0) plate six runs in the bottom of the seventh to separate from the Tomcats (0-1). Rowan has scored 107 runs already this season.
  14. 🐐 | 🇱🇻 Final from Raceland in the first round of the 16th Region All "A" Classic. The reigning region champion Rams (4-0) are rolling, outscoring their first four opponents a combined 46-5. The Comets (1-1) were on the losing end of a run rule beating tonight, a day after dishing one out to Menifee County.
  15. 🇦🇹 | 🇯🇲 Final from Cannonsburg. The Lions (3-1, State #2) clawed out of an early five run hole to mercy the Musketeers (1-3). Boyd poured on eleven runs in the bottom of the fifth to prematurely end an entertaining game. Brogan Jones drove in five for the winning side.
