As far as the whole Traditon part goes, MC basketball is far from being where it was in 2001-2011 and to be quite honest I'm not sure if it'll ever get back to that point. It all goes back to politics and I have inside connections to the MC athletic department so I know myself that it's true. If the Royals want to go back to being the basketball powerhouse that they once were they need to get back to basing playing time and spots on the team off of TALENT and ABILITY instead of who you are, what your last name is, and how much money you have. With 45 applicants for the head coaching job last year and several with multiple state championships, you can't tell me that Biggs was the best option for the job. I believe the MC motto is "Tradtion Never Graduates", well folks. I've got news for you, Traditon graduated and it happened a few years ago. The downward spiral is already in process.

Crawford is not a guard...... The best GUARD is Pig Williams. Austin Crawford is a small forward. When Austin goes to the next level he will play the 3-4 spot.

I don't think it's fair to Mr. Allen to recieve all this criticism. I mean after all he is only like what, 14? 15? He's well beyond his age but just simply needs more time to develop as man. Can't expect him to be a "man" at that age. As for Crawford he's had his time to develop, so therefore yes he's going to be more physical. He's only a month or two younger than my son and who will be graduating in May. You can have all the talent in the world but it doesn't matter as much until you give your body time to grow and develop. However I am shocked by the outcome of this game, figured Pendleton would come out with a W. Kudos to Bracken on a heckuva game.

Just think of the team Pendleton COULD'VE had..... Antrobus, Allen, Crawford, and Wood. Talk about a scary sight with Keaton coaching them. Unfortunately things didn't fall into place.

You clearly didn't attend the Western Brown game, it was a 5 point game halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Let's be honest here, this is pretty much the last year Augusta will be good for quite a while, (or from what I've heard that's how it's going to be). So it's not just that big ole Mason Co is too fancy to play at little ole Augusta. It would just be a game they didn't really get much out of as it would be if they went to St. Pat.

I can see why they wouldn't want to play St. Pat twice a year and looking forward Augusta will be right there with them I believe. So there's 4 games that could be played against better competition. As for them changing their minds, I don't see it happening. Not anytime soon.

The 38th will never have a seeding nor will the 39th. Robertson and Nicholas would never vote for it because there are years where they do draw each other and St. Pat would normally be the 4 seed so they wouldn't be for it either. Live and die by the draw.

If Mason plays well it's going to take a really big effort to beat them even if it's on the road. Luckily for Campbell Co they haven't been playing as well here recently, but I think they turn the corner tonight and become the dominate team that we all expect and know they can be. That being said Lady Royals by double digits but less than 20.

I think Mason-Bracken-Augusta could all agree they want to avoid eachother 1st round. You've also gotta consider the girls into this too. Therefore it would be the better ALL AROUND tournament with Bracken-Augusta Mason-St. Pat

It's a down year which is why all the teams are so close together. IMO the 2002-2013 was some of the best years for the 10th. The Mason-GRC-MoCo-Pendleton and Brossart battles were amazing.

I'd rather have a team of kids with less talent who listen and don't give attitude then have the problems that occur year in and year out at Paris. If Paris has their heads on right they yes, they can beat anyone. But without them they'll be lucky to come out of the district.

Anytime someone says Mason Co has homecooking you're insulting Sumo, I've been going to games in Maysville for several years now and have witnessed these accusations in person and none of them should be blamed on the staff at MC because they do a terrific job. As for this game the confusion was between the Highlands Coach and the officials, Mason got the ball to start the 3rd, there was a jump ball about halfway through the quarter so therefore it was Mason's ball to start the 4th. There is no need at all to be accusing anyone at all for this incident.

Let's face it, the bigs aren't true bigs. They're more content standing outside shooting 3's instead of getting inside and being physical. That's why the Royals will have trouble with any team that has a physical post player.

Saw on Twitter where 16 of Maddox's 21 were in the 3rd quarter. Not sure how many he finished with but that's quite impressive.
