If you disregard the LaSalle game and regard the LexCath game it all comes together that CovCath is overrated.

Yes that game was nothing more than an "aberration" lol.

I think the CovCath/LexCath as well as the CovCath/LaSalle game taught us that you should never underestimate your opponent. You'll get caught by surprise and will find yourself behind. That's also what happened to CovCath in the state championship last year imo. CovCath didn't bring their A game right out of the gate; trailed early and couldn't completely adjust in time to complete the comeback.

I dont see last year's CovCath team nor the 2017 team doing any better against this La Salle team. This was a dominating win. I feel like this year's CovCath team could beat the last year team easily.

Considering LaSalle only lost 6 times to a KY team before this then I consider this relatively big. Also no one said this is CovCaths "biggest win". The biggest win is always the state championship. But this may be the most "impressive" win in CovCath's program history, but then again, CovCath has had other impressive wins.

Wow. Don't know what to say. A blowout win vs a top tier Cinci team.

No I completely agree. I don't care if CovCath loses, I just care about us not being humiliated or shut out. But with this defense I dont know how they're going to score at all. I'm looking forward to Michael Mayer making an impact, after all, he did beat against some of the the top defenders in the nation in the summer camp thing.

My goodness. How do 5 different DBs on the same team get DI recognition? Ugh. This game is looking worse and worse the more we examine it.

The last time CovCath lost in a running clock was against Cincy St. X on 8/28/15 by a score of 57-7. And before that was against Highlands in 2014, 42-7.

I assure you, no one is pretending CCH is a public school begging for mercy.

CovCath had best got a good offensive game plan because this La Salle defense looks like a concrete wall.

Meanwhile #808 Knoxville Catholic who had to beat Highlands on a game winning drive beat #109 ranked Brentwood Academy 36-31 today. The fact that Highlands was close to beating Knoxville is shocking but Highlands just probably wasn't having a good day today. I still expect them to be a big threat to CCH this year.

St. X was down 14-3 and then 31-17 and won 41-37. Like I said, this one will be a test for Trinity but I think they'll win in the end.

They gave St. Xavier and Elder a tough test. So in all likelihood they'll give Trinity one too.

No quibbles from me this time. FD proved themselves to be #1 with that impressive win over Scott County.
