  1. If a snow storm would happen, bet they put the NKU women in Regents Hall to accommodate the HS regional. Or why are they playing there this Saturday? Is their home in The Bank taken? Appears their people agree with most of us HS fans if they move a regular season game to Regents Hall.
  2. The bottom line talks and NKU crowds are small, face it. People in this area are driven by high schools, UK, U of L, UC, Xavier, not NKU. The market is way too big for them and having losing records the last how many years doesn't help them either.
  3. You seem awfully nasty with your answers.
  4. Snow day in case of weather for the Thursday? Last year we had a near blizzard during HS regional if I remember.
  5. Our family has been to about four NKU games this season and at no time has there been a good crowd. Each time there are 7,000 or 8,000 empty seats. That will not happen with regional HS basketball. There is no enthusiasm at NKU either, very dull and lifeless. The first game we attended this season was against Uc Clermont and I bet there were not 500 in the stands. The worst attended HS regional game will do much better than that. So move NKU to Regents Hall and it will look better for them as well.
  6. Makes sense, the regional for HS draw a lot more than NKU basketball. The area does not care about NKU sports. Don't see the big deal with moving their game to Regents Hall, they are playing the girls game there this Saturday. Why not the men? The regional is played at The Bank of Ky. every year.
  7. Not name calling. We just do not hear much about BG up here. They were not at the state finals so I assumed they are just a now-and-then power, unlike Highlands which is there every year!
  8. Where were they this year? I was at the state finals for every game and the only Bowling Green I saw was on the exit signs!
  9. Kudos to Ludlow! Great gestures by the Panthers.
  10. What is so funny? CovCath had issues last year with both injury and internal suspensions with several of their players, and I give them credit for a fine season. But they lost to Beechwood and that should tell you their talent level is not where their fans imagine it is at. Highlands has plenty of talent coming back and joining the fold.
  11. I am driving back from Louisville to N. Ky. right now and the highway is fine. Why did the cancel it?
  12. Can not divulge because their families are in process of moving into the Ft. Thomas district. Christmas is July is what you can call it since you are like a kid at Santa Time!
  13. TBA. You will see about July!
  14. It was not easy in 4A either. The Birds will win 5A next year in the same fashion they've done it 8 of last 10 years - pride, tradition and excellence. The one-time wonders like Bowling Green etc. will see what 4A already knows!
  15. I think Eddie will be a good coach for CovCath. I do not believe he will be able to implement a quick-attack offense at CovCath because they do not have the same type of athletes who had to work with at G'Town. I hope the CovCath fans give him a chance to settle in because Highlands is much better than the Colonels next season. It will not be fair to Eddie to expect him to beat Highlands in 2015. The Birds lose some good players, but the lower levels and a couple of transfers - TBA! - will make Highlands looking for a state title again!
  16. And who do you root for? Silver Grove?
  17. Bolden - Holmes Weyer, Pangallo - NewCath VonHandorf - CovCath Stockwell - Boone Co. Snapp - Newport Mitchell - Ludlow Kunstek - St. Henry Harris - Highlands Those are ones I saw play.
  18. Their SOS and RPI went up after they played Silver Grove to a 83-40 game last week. Most experts who do this poll thought Silver Grove would win by at least 60 points, but Heritage kept within striking distance before the 43-point margin. Much closer than score indicates. HAHA
  19. Coach Mueller at the time was willing to continue playing NewCath. They did not want to keep playing the Birds because of the last time they met. Highlands just had way too many athletes and size for the 'Breds in that one. I think NewCath also worried over injuries suffered against bigger team like Highlands.
  20. Heritage?! C'mon! Cov. Latin? Highlands is better than both. Poll is messed up!
  21. Birds will beat Dayton. I know NewCath is really good but I just have a feeling Highlands is going to play a great game. Upsets have happened many times, and I think Coach Listerman will have the guys playing at a fever pitch against the 'Breds. I could see a low scoring 45-43 game as the Birds control tempo!
  22. I was part of the 2008 NKU women's basketball NCAA Division II national championship team. Watching the final seconds tick off the clock was a moment that caused me to almost come to tears. Can not describe the feeling of that moment, have to experience to understand.
  23. I say NewCath wins a close on because of Pangallo's passing and Weyer's all around play. 'Breds 61-58.
