Owensboro guard play will be the factor of this one. we know what Miller and Holman will bring!

this was painful to watch. 2-20 from the 3 mostly uncontested attempts too. OHS bigs had there way. Guard play was very good for OHS. With Ballard falling out I don't see anyone matching up well with OHS they should clearly be able to win the 'ship!

Poor Collins just out gunned in every aspect of the game. Friday will be interesting bc Owensboro really outsizes everyone but if the guard play is tested I think they have a tough day with hopkinsville and that style of play.

No knock to tc. But like I previously said they are a year or two from winning in #theRupp great team. But I wasn't impressed by there record it's 0-0 this week and about experience. I think hhs will speed up Owensboro and run those bigs tongues or their mouth Friday night.

From what I understand and hear the whole state knows they play full court, man to man or a full court pressure type defense. I am guessing you stick with it. And even though it killed them last year vs trinity. ride or die time!

Okay I see what youre saying but I saw the film and Webster looked dead in the fourth just last week. I suspect Hopkinsville will be able to wear down Taylor co 7 especially when the film ive seen on Taylor appears to have a big talent dropoff at 6 & 7.

get your facts straight they lost the KOB tourney CHAMPIONSHIP to a team out of DC 59-56 then beat Henderson in that one game KOB classic 2 months later AND.... talk about confused the freshman were on the roster at Rupp last year as 8th graders check that I believe Cager scored against South Oldham last year. Something to me about seniors first time or not and the rest of the team having experience ( you call in struggles) in Rupp vs NONE AT ALL!

I vote for Justice... numbers don't lie and I think a major criteria should be carrying your team to #theRupp

Smithhart is classless. He can have his 2 little regional coach of the year awards sitting right there at home with him and his team this week. Theres just something flawed with the system but hey attitude is reflected by leadership. This guy ran away from/ or was run out of Christian County and hasn't done nothing special in Hendo. 27-4 its that impressive without a trip to #theRupp .

Not taking anything from Taylor county but I think they are 1-2 yrs away from playing into the 2nd round. Hoptown will speed them up and make them do things they don't usually do. I still say Hoptown by 12 maybe 14-17.

But can they play 32 mins? And what do they have passed starting 5? 6,7,8? Hoptown can go 10 deep, and in that starting 5 3-4 legit double digit scorers with a couple of capable scores in that 2nd five. Tyler sparked em late against Webster and probably no one saw that coming, he didn't even play vs Hendo. I don't know another team in the 16 that can easily go 7,8,9 deep and still get good defense and point production like a Hoptown. Is this Taylors first trip? Rupp is big with bright lights you say that's not a factor but it truly is.

i dont recall in fact idts i know he let team lose a 13 pt lead and went down by 4 before calling a TO @ KOB. I've seen him get techs that killed his team late in games.

i think this one comes down to if Drake feels like coaching or not. I saw Drake sit back in his chair and basically lose a game he had won at the KOB. Sometimes getting a technical foul really aint coaching! so if the leader leads this team can go on if not then oh well!

With a screen name like that, that says more than you actually typed. Idky I'm even responding. I'm not most ppl so I'll let you do the math this season my team is 23-5 over a four season stretch something like 128-12. Suspect that! So my team is not at the bottom of the state polls we are rip yen every year inspite of the garbage zebra crew. I used the percentage to keep it neutral. If I said we are about to make our forth Str8 trip to sweet sixteen I think you ppl would know what school I'm representing. That is no fun. I'm new here and I will keep posting especially on subjects like this Thnkx pea I mean birdbrain! Hilarious!!

Aww kid! You sound real sensitive now. Lol cmon now. These ppl claim to know the rules yet do a really poor job and it's effecting the game. So it's not a matter of knowing vs thinking you know. Maybe it's the fact that most of the refs are lazy. Or just doing it for the paycheck not serious about it. Like I said if I did my job like these refs I wouldn't have a job!!!!!!

Haha you know what happens when u assume huh! No my team is not eliminated we've won over 85% maybe 90% of our games and projected to be in the sweet 16 that's why my complaint is a legit one. I'm sick of watching poor under qualified refs.

I have not been a ref and im sure 90% of the refs have another job. However if I did my job the way these mediocre refs officiate I would no longer have that job. The refs are a bunch of cocky, egotistical clowns that think someone actually paid admission to see them. Most of the refs in KY are out of shape therefore often almost always out of position and make tons of assumption calls. 90% of them probably never played the game. My fav KY ref quote "Not my call coach not my area" Lame excuse lame way to pass the buck... they need an overhaul. Garbage refs are ruining sports in KY
