The Panther will make the 15-20 minute drive to Maysville Friday night looking to make it 4 straight wins against the Royals. Mason County defeated North Adams last week 68-7 while setting starting QB Chandler Dunnaway and WR/DB Jaylen Lofton. This will be Fleming County's first game of the year. Who wins and why?

Okay then, what have the other 10+ players mentioned accomplished in high school that Miller and Lofton haven't?

You guys are giving no credit at all to Chris Lofton and Darius Miller.. Lofton is the all time leading 3 point shooter in SEC history, Mr. Basketball, State Champion and if I recall correctly he was a 2nd team All American and SEC POY. (Not 100% on those last two) Miller was a State Champion. Mr. Basketball, SEC tournament MVP, SEC 6th Man of the year, NCAA Champion, 3 time European Champion and 3 time MVP. What more do they have to do? If Lofton was a few inches taller he'd be in the NBA without a doubt, you don't become the best shooter in SEC history by just being an average player.

I'm considering transferring to GRC and I've already graduated highschool.

I'm shocked they didn't try to sneak him on the court as someone else.

Not sure if it's known on here, but Isaiah Garrison was back on the court for MC. The trio of Garrison, Dunnaway, and Lofton will be pretty solid if they can gell this season.

Hope Stape gets this job, he'd at least take interest in the entire program starting from elementary and working his way up.

Hey you got a dislike on that one too! IMO the "Igloo" should be the 8th Wonder of the World. It's a fantastic place, you get to take a school bus to the gym, walk forever and a day just to use the restroom, and then sit nice and cozy to everyone around you! Who wouldn't want to be there with crowds like that???

Heard tonight at the Regional Tennis tournament that they had decided to do districts and alternating regional hosting with tennis like they do with basketball, baseball, soccer, etc..Maybe that was something Tackett had to be apart of?

His son is a freshman at Rowan Co. Just thought of this last night, but how about Patrick Kelsch? Also in that article it says his teaching contract wasn't renewed, with FC currently being operated by the state I'm not sure anyone would want to take this job just for the simple fact of job security.

Possibly Brian Miller? Sean Woods considering his son is a freshman?

Still think it's a bit fishy they fire Coach Taylor after one season, does anyone know who would be interested in the job? I don't believe there's much talent on the rise is there? I know in the past FC has lost a lot of good players to Montgomery and Clark CO.

Yeah talent in one of the weakest regions in the state, being top 10 in the 16th Region isn't that much of an accomplishment IMO. The years that Starns was there they made it to state, but never really beat anyone outside the 16th Region.

Lawrence Co was 22-12 in 16-17, 29-5 in 15-16, and 23-10 in 14-15. GRC was 20-13 in 16-17, 15-15 in 15-16, and 19-10 in 14-15. The next several years look very promising for the Cardinals.

I might not be 100% correct on this, but I had heard that Kelly Wells reasoning for putting Darius Miller in game at the end of the 2004 State Championship Game (he was an 8th grader that year) was so he would have to sit out a year if he decided to transfer someplace else. Did KHSAA do something to change that or was it just false information on my end?

I heard the possibility of replacing the blue bleachers in the lower section. Not sure how true that is or if it will happen, but they definitely need it.

One of the top 8th graders in the state who averaged 15.8ppg last season for Lawrence County has transferred to George Rogers Clark.
