What is the reason that NCC really has not ever played well at BB&T? Is it he size of the floor and team tend to spread them out? When you spread them out you take away the threat of Weyer blocking as much. Is it depth of bench? CCH seem to always have a bench of about 10 kids that they can rotate in and out. NCC not so much which on the bigger floor wears them down. Cylde: you mentioned if they don't shoot well from the outside, do they have an inside game to follow it up with? No true bigman like they had in McDonald last year to feed the ball into. I think mexitucky made some really good points also.

I said this on the game thread last night and thought I would post my comment here since I didn't get a chance to post again because I was catching up with guys and forgot. I made the comment that I couldn't believe NCCs best player was still in being they were up 30. When I made that comment I just walked in to see the next game and noticed the game before still going. I just couldn't believe with them being up by that score he was still in stroking 3 pointers. Makes no sense why teams like this keep their studs in other than to pad his stats. I worry for kids like this because the game seemed to get a little physical at that time and he takes chances of getting hurt. Absolutely would have hated to see that. My next comment was that he didn't play defense. Yes blocks are defense but if you notice he lives in on the inside and doesn't tend to guard anyone outside 10/12 feet. If I was 6'7 with probably close to a 6'10 wingspan I would hope I was getting blocks left and right from guys much smaller than me. When he gets to the next level I doubt he will be living inside the entire time to be able to get those blocks. Don't get me wrong, he is a very good player and probably the top or one of the top players in 9th Region this year. I'm just throwing out my opinions on what I've seen of him play this season.

Really, only blocks and shoots 3s with occasional fad away 2. Doesn't play defense.

Pretty sad when the best player is in still in there padding is stats when they are up by 30.

Has the different 9th Region districts posted their schedules yet? If so could we post them all here to have them all in one location?

Can't believe I missed this. Been watching this kid for years and love his game. I'm not sure I've ever met a kid who works as hard as him Congrats to him and his family.

If NCC brings the defense they win hands down. Will be a fun game to watch.

A class act that trickles down to a staff that is just the same. JB does a great job with the boys and is a great respresentitive for Ft Thomas.

I'm going to agree with many of what people said below your post. This hasn't been an bashing of Weyer but more so why can't the coaches at NCC can't figure out how to use a bigman. They seem to not know how to change things up. I'm sure the pressure was high last night, unfortunately he just didn't play like he we are used to seeing from him. He is still a kid.

Why don't they get the ball inside more? This will be the 3rd year NCC has had a big man and it doesn't seem they work to their advantages. More so with same result each year at NKU

He didn't come to play. As it was stated, he seemed out of sorts all game. Ever kid can have an off game, I know. Just not what I expected to see from someone with his talent.

Both sides were physical. I think the saying is, if you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. And Weyer left the kitchen

I'm not sure NCC has what it takes to beat CCH on the big floor. IMO

Looks like every time he has the ball they give him a little nudge to throw him off. Appears to be working.

Hall with very impressive ball fake and drive from wing. Didn't make shot but one heck of a drive

Will be interesting if Campbell maximizes the fact Weyer can't play to tight of D in fear of foul #4.
