Highlands FB has 1 win, so by posting that I'm trashing the program? I hope you have thicker skin than that. There is a prediction thread for every game on here all season long. Using your logic, every time someone picks against a team, they are trashing that team for their own pleasure. Have you ever participated in a prediction thread? We must have different definitions of abysmal. Go read the Highlands game threads with 100+ posts where Highlands parents are trashing kids, coaches, and each other. This is a thread on a 5 year statistical anomaly that may or may not occur this year. But in your mind this is worse?

I agree with you on that. You know why? Because controversy sells newspapers, or in this case, generates clicks. And don't forget, this is an opinion based forum. And everyone's got an opinion. This is not the media. Independent media provides unbiased coverage. BGP is the opposite of that.

Your continued assertion no one should be discussing a 1 win team has been proven inaccurate time and time again, along with your assumption that only outsiders and haters are posting to stir things up. In fact, very normal and regular people are posting about Highlands and the year they are having. The Cov Cath/Highlands thread is at #177 posts and climbing. The "Highlands???" thread is at #135. I think you need to accept the fact that a 1 win Highlands team is going to be discussed - and not just by people you find deplorable.

First, you're wrong. NDA beat Lakota East. Do you know who actually is 0-fer? St. Henry - they lost every Ohio match. You know who else is 0-fer? Cooper - because they don't schedule any of those teams.

People watch NASCAR for the wrecks, not to see who wins. Highlands is an uncharacteristic 1-6 and a dumpster fire right now, so yes the threads will continue because it's a headline and unusual. If Cov Cath beats them it will break the internet.

Don't give yourself too much credit, people like to talk about extremes..the highs and the lows. If u were 3-3, it would be less interesting. And how is it hateful to discuss and comment on a 1-6 team? One of the most storied programs in the Commonwealth is 1-6 and you thought no one would notice? Aces should never be part of the discussion. Go look at stats when Assumption plays Sacred Heart and tell me how many Aces there are. 2? 3? total for the match combined for both teams. High end volleyball isn't about Aces, it's about aggressive serving that puts a team out of system, and there's not a stat for that. It's real easy to run off double digit Aces when you play weak teams who simply can't serve receive. And there are a lot of teams like that.

I have no idea. Is there a front runner? Most years it's pretty clear-cut who will get it, this year seems to be different. I'm going to bet that no one from a public school has ever won this award. Does that change this year?

Yes it was - in fact it's only Highlands fans that are saying that. They're the insiders, and they know more than us outsiders about their program and have been very clear to point that out. They all know what we don't know and have posted many times about it. Shall I repost them all?
