  1. I spoke to Ed Diddle (yes, he's dead), he said to leave his Red Towel tradition alone.
  2. :thumb: It's times like this that I'm reminded no matter how much I'd like not to like you, it's impossible. :D "...stay classy San Diego..."
  3. 113-113-1 is a VAST improvement from where they were. That would only be "average" if we were in Boston, The Bronx, St. Louis, Houston, or Anaheim. In The 'Nati, that is vast improvement.
  4. No, your revised score post is #62 and clearly visible.
  5. No worries. :thumb: My distaste for FROSH threads, and most assuredly those pee-wee threads in GD that you'll never see me post in, is that I think it's a smidge early to be disecting and tearing down young people (either directly or indirectly). Not saying those that like those threads are wrong, they just aren't for me. When a parent stoops to nonsense (allegedly, just to cover our bases) like is listed above it makes you understand why some kids feel turn out the way they do. A complete lack of class shown (allegedly), and the fact that it was directed at 14 year olds makes it all the more nauseating.
  6. Huh? Back it down a notch G.D. I most assuredly wasn't supporting what they did -- I hoped it was exaggerated. I wouldn't want nor support any fan base acting like that towards 14 year olds from any school. Thanks for the reasons for a FROSH thread, I've only been around for 5 years and I have a pretty good handle on what those are for. Make sure you understand one of my posts, or anyone else's for that matter, before going off next time.
  7. I didn't doubt it, just hoped that the parents of 14 year olds would have more sense -- at any school. 14 year olds folks. Jeesh.
  8. Frankly that's good news, with no games against the Cards left on the docket, the Division race is fait accompli.
  9. I had lunch with Rick on Wednesday -- a great guy. Good luck in your election. ------------------------------------------------------------- ESPNGuy, I hope that your story is exaggerated (not that you would exaggerate it, but that it was before it got to you). Of course, it would just help to underscore why I care not at all what happens in FROSH football games.
  10. BZ, Rick Robinson running your campaign? ================================================== Varsity beats Grant Co. and the FROSH beat the Beechies...it's the salad days down on the River!
  11. Thanks.:thumb: I've heard people I respect say that CCH should NOT be running that complicated spread offense at the FROSH level, and then others that I respect saying they absolutely should be running the same play book as the Varsity. I'll be honest, what I know about (and frankly, care about) FROSH football would rattle in a thimble, but I'd like some opinions on that. Highlands FROSH team, from a complete outsider, has clearly dominated their CCH peers recently...if one can equate that to the string of W's the varsity has put up is for someone to answer besides me.
  12. If Holmes has any pride at all, and I'm sure they do, they will come out and make a HUGE statement this week. Pendleton Co. is probably catching them at the wrong time. Holmes huge...
  13. I can't believe I'm posting in a Freshman thread (twice), but can someone answer this: Is CCH running the same offense as the Varsity?
  14. Should we be embarrassed that "our" HHS / Elder pre-game thread only has 4 pages (versus Yappi's 20 pages and 600 posts)?
  15. Since the teams are deadlocked at 3 - 3 in this millenium, this one is for all of the marbles (until next year). :jump: 2005 -- CCH 37, Dixie 3 2004 -- Dixie 14, CCH 6 2003 -- Dixie 24, CCH 23 2002 -- Dixie 28, CCH 0 2001 -- CCH 34, Dixie 21 2000 -- CCH 34, Dixie 25
  16. I'll be shocked if Bellevue is able to roll into I.H. and get a win. They did lose among the best QB's in the area (that's saying a LOT for a program this small), but I don't think Bellevue will be able to get it done unless they throw it a LOT better than they did in the two times I saw them last year. Bellevue will be okay this year, but I don't think this a week they'll tally 1 in the left hand column.
  17. We have a sticky sighting at Yappi. They need to be afraid, be very afraid.
  18. GT says so many nice things about you, I'd hate to start (insert joke here) thinking he was lying to me. :jump:
  19. Which was either two friday's ago, this saturday, or at worse, a week from Sunday. :thumb: :walk:
  20. For the record, I haven't once criticized Jerry Narron or any decision he has made. I don't recall ever having said "write it down," but if I did, I'm embarrassed. I'm further sure you'll never hear me say "I told you so," but I may infer it in about 23,582 different ways. It's beyond thinking the worst will happen, heck, in "real life" I'm ridiculously optimistic (my wife tells me 100x day to take my rose colored glasses off and "be real"), it's just that the worst is happening. Their lack of pitching is catching up with them, winning every close game is over and done, and them being in the race despite being out-scored on the year (universal pre-cursor of a team that will collapse down the stretch) is dwindling away. I've been a Reds' fan much longer than nearly everyone in this thread every day, and I want NOTHING MORE than for them to make the playoffs -- it just appears doubtful given the state of their ballclub at this point. That being said, I'll be up again tonight, watching Fox, and pulling for the Redlegs. IAAF, I thought we were friends?
  21. OOh, check those batting orders in the other thread...:jump:
