Unfortunate for Robert, very talented kid.... Anyone know what happened?

Didn't say that St. Henry wasn't talented I said that high school soccer is different than club, it has to be coached different and treated differently. St. Henry's coach does a fantastic job of mixing the 2. It takes skill and will to win, the Cru had both last night.

Just a thought, but did anyone else notice that Ncc only had one coach on the sidelines? Is McDonald the coach of all 3 teams?

Well done Cru, the keepers for each team played ok, the pace of the game was fast and furious I did see the keeper show the finger, I'm not a St. Henry fan but Cov Cath cheering section does tend to taunt people. They were riding that kid pretty hard. The keep needs to learn to keep his head and just prove himself with his actions. Cov Cath let YET another title slip away, when will they realize that club coaching is not the answer...... You can't treat high school soccer like club soccer, it has to be different. It's a different game played against different level of competition. These teams were in no way equal, Cov Cath had much more talent on the pitch. St. Henry played with heart and figured out a way to win. Cov Cath had this game won if they would have changed tactics up 3-1, go defensive and don't send 8 guys forward. The colonels were the most talented soccer team in NKY and were beat by a team that played harder and adjusted to win the game. Good luck Cru Nky will be cheering you on!!!!!

Why do we once again let a ref have control over our threads? Was it a handball? Is he a bad ref? Was the card to the coach justified? Who cares, did you guts watch the game or just that one play? Cov Cath and Ncc have some history over the past 4 years, that's the first time Cch has beaten Ncc in the tournament in sometime. Well played by Cch, they moved the ball well and it seemed coach Robertson has really done a great job this year.

I had the pleasure to watch this game tonight, Cch had way more chances than Ncc. Ncc looked like they were panicking at times. In my opinion cch controlled the match and imposed their game on the thoroughbreds, it seemed as if Ncc couldn't get a hold of the ball and possess. Well played game by the colonels and good luck against the Cru. Great season by Ncc, the seniors that are leaving have left a mark on that program that will never be forgotten. Best wishes to them as they move on.......

C'mon guys do you really think a coach tells his players to go play dirty???? HC is an average team trying to compete with the powerhouse names in the regional tournament. They play hard, they play physical but I dint think the chippyness is thought. It's a combination of lack of game knowledge and having a desire to win. That program has a very good coaching staff and IMOP would not condone that type of chippy play you speak of. They may go into a tackle harder than you, they may taunt you, they may not be the best team around but there is no need to throw them under the bus and continue to put them down. Just like any other parent/coach, if you continue to bash my player or son I would get upset as well. Let it go , they are no longer a threat to you, you do not have to worry about how hard they play...... Congrats on a great season HC, and good luck to the Cru

Pigeye, I never whined, I just don't see how you can automatically get a 1 seed when you don't play anyone in your district GOD BLESS we all know Cov Cath wins every year

St Henry wins 2-1 in a hard fought game Coach Hahn has his team ready for the tournament

Simon 3-1 Simon is a good team and plays good soccer, to much talent for Grant

Brossart defense should handle Scott's lethal attack, Brossart 1-0

2-0 Cov Cath Holy Cross packs it in and plays kickball trying to counter. It's worked for them this year, keeps them in the game. Cov cath's goals come from crosses tonight

I'm going 2-1 Cooper The field will be a mess and will help Cooper defensively, Logan Williams makes some big saves to keep Cooper ahead. Coopers goals come from snow and workman Boone goes up 1-0 on goal by Mayberry, Cooper wins in OT

Cov Cath district is easy, Holmes, Latin, Holy Cross. You could put the three teams together and still wouldn't beat Cov Cath. If you were to win a district, would you rather draw the loser of Cov Cath holy cross or highlands/Ncc?

Did Ryle have some new players? I watched them earlier this season and #9 was new, he looks older than a high school kid

I believe there is a shortage of officials this year, if that's the case it will never get better. Need to start worrying about the play of players and stop worrying what people say to them. Take a lesson from Euro officials, never ever do the talk to a coach or player that complains about calls. Maybe if they were in position they would make the correct call Sad to say the least.

The games I have seen this year have been pretty poorly officiated, the inconsistent calls and bot being able to keep up with the play is a bit sad. There are some young officials ( Ricky Barea) anda few others that do an outstanding job.

Which team do you think they will play? Ncc in first round, highlands second or third? If these games happen I will be there, should be a battle with all three good in the air and having very strong defense.
