I agree that it doesn't always suite the home team the best..... I just looked at riherds and saw where Brossart plays really good at home but Ncc has not won a game on their home field, I think u may be on to something.

Coaches should never talk to each other in a manner that which the players will feed from negatively. Believe it or not, players look up to coaches as roll models and feed off the emotions of a coach. I see it all the time, a coach gets upset with a ref and then the players do the same. All I was saying is no player or coach should talk smack to another coach.

So width and length are not factors? Have you ever played at Cooper? I am not saying it's a huge factor but I do believe it can help or hurt you. Was at the Cov Cath New Cath game and CC had a great fan base that I believe can get into players heads. Does that same group travel to away games?

This should never happen....... As a coach you should know that the game is about the players. I have seen Cooper play this year and the only time you can hear the coaching staff get loud was about fouls. Never directed toward another team or opponents. I have a hard time believing he would stoop to that level. The players on the other hand ...... They are high school kids that get frustrated or flustered and let emotions run high, it likely that they talk smack. Hope this thread can get back to being about the players and not coach bashing

There is a huge difference in playing at home or away, for example Turf or grass Length and width of the pitch . Sun sets to one side . If you bring a good student section, (Cov Cath) Your own music to warm up to How far you travel Just some factors in home and away games

Not sure why Cov Cath fans are so upset, highlands is a good team. Losses are not always a bad thing, they are lessons in how to get better. They teach us how to play against different styles of soccer. Some teams play kickball, s one try to possess the ball. What happens on the training grounds next is the real key here, how the team responds is what matters. These games are just practice for the regionals....

I saw the Ncc Cooper game, that Ref let that game get out of control fast, it ended with a keeper punching a player in the chest with no call. I just think people are starting to expect bad refs, the Scott Campbell game was ok The problem normally isn't the center but his AR's are normally new or less experienced on big games Any who for the most part the refs in Nky try to do the best job they can I don't think they miss calls on purpose

I read that this is the best Cov Cath team ever!!! From what I have heard , the only competition up hear will be Cooper or maybe Ryle

I would go to Dixie/Cov Cath simply for the stadium and food, and to watch what could be Nky first state champions

I don't have a dog in the fight From behind the benches, it looked to be an easy clear that was mis-hit into the goal by Ncc defender. Not sure about the offsides call.

I saw the game and thought hmmmmm : the colonels cane out like they had something to prove. They won every 50/50 ball and made Ncc defense chase them all over the field in the first half. Second half started with CC winning 2-0 and playing the same style soccer creating many opportunities to score. With about 22 minutes left Ncc scored off a throw in.( set pieces seem to be their bread and butter) with 20 seconds left and down 2-1 Ncc scores an own goal. Maybe the first Ncc goal in the run of play all year, according to the posts I've read. All in all CC was the better team and deserved the win, Ncc has some work to do if they plan to get out of their district lol.....

Seen Ncc and don't think they can match the talent at Cov Cath this year.... Although they shouldn't have been able to in 11 when they surprised them. I will call 3-0 Cc

I've see. HC. Play very underrated team IMO
