  1. Hmmm hmm 2-1 I'm on a roll lol
  2. I understand why Cov Cath would not want to play the teams in the district Just not sure GCL teams are the answer
  3. Ok so you take one on the chin? They will never get better playing mediocre teams, play the best and learn from it. Same concept all good teams take. I agree it does nothing for Cov Cath but with that said how do you seed a district tournament if you do not play? I am in no way affiliated to either team, just trying to figure out the logic of playing GCL teams.
  4. No No No I asked why they play across the river I also said that Hc would play Cov Cath so they could prepare for districts You may want to go double check what you have read I asked why they play GCL teams instead on ky teams
  5. Why wouldn't they? They want to prepare for the speed of the game and play better competition. They have as many regional titles as Cov Cath does over the last 3 years.
  6. No, they are not the first and won't be the last. In talking with a friend of mine, he stated that the coaches that do this are the coaches that are not aware of the rules that are put in place by the region coaches. So apparently they are spoken rules that most coaches know about. It's a Jv game not a let's mix players from all the teams and play. Come on it crazy to think that this would be acceptable.
  7. I agree, not asking you why not play Holmes or HC, I'm asking why not play Dunbar or Woodford. Why do you have to travel, I'm sure those teams have busses as well
  8. They have done this for years and have never won state, no Nky team has. It's been quite a while since they've won the region. I believe year in and year out they are the favorite to come out of Nky and they get the largest group of talent every year but still have not done anything different than anyone else from Nky. I know it's tradition to play those schools, but there is something said for doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. How many top level club players does Cov Cath have, I would venture to say more than anyone else in Nky correct? Why can't they beat a Dunbar or trinity or St. X (ky) or win a state title, it just seems a bit insane. Why not go down to Lexington or Louisville to play the teams you are going to see at state? Wouldn't this help if you get there, wouldn't this be a better judgement on where you stand in the state and what you need to work on? Just playing devils advocate here, I would like some insight to what others think.
  9. 2-1 Henry Clay, but will be a battle. I may drive down for this match, clemente, is nasty but I believe HC has a few guys that are equally good.
  10. Why does CC always play Ohio teams? Are there not enough good teams in ky? I understand that these teams are better than some local squads but come on, who really cares who wins this game? I am all about playing better competition but don't see why you have to go out of state to get it. Does it really help the team?????
  11. So I went to the old trusty riherds and saw a few 10-0 scores in the past week. I looked at scoring and most players didn't score more than 2, not that they couldn't but because their coach probably moved them or took them off the field. This is coaching etiquette, this is an unwritten rule, but then again coming from Scott it's not surprising. The coach is very good at coaching the game, I heard a few years back he played a varsity starter in Jv regionals, that's Bush league, why would you do that?,
  12. I don't think Holy Cross players are thugs I don't think they are hacks either I just think they play aggressively and with out much knowledge of the game, so it's kind of a mix between heart and ignorance. I do think that they are a better team than last year and still are young, hope they can continue to improve
  13. Lol, oh the error of my ways, In my old age my memory fades... I have heard from a few people (ie.. parents) how good this team is. I saw the schedule, they have won a few games against st pats and villa but haven't been playing top tier teams
  14. Big win for the pioneers, Holy Cross has more wins this year than years past. I expected this to be closer, is HC injured? How were the goals scored against such a strong defense?
  15. Finally got a prediction correct
  16. If all those guys are out this game belongs to Ryle 0-0 tie
  17. This should be a barn burner I'm going 3-2 Scott
  18. Just looked at both teams schedule, Ncc has yet to win a game at home, villa has played well on the road. I believe this is Ncc first year with this as their home field, is something wrong with it? They seem to play well down south last weekend, can they get a W at home and shake the proverbial monkey from their back. My guess is they win 3-0 Ncc
  19. Only if 3 more coaches vote.
