Finally got a prediction correct

Nice call on the 0-0 tie. A real struggle for CCH offensively with 3 starting midfielders out for the game and one of the two starting strikers. Another defender out w/ a concussion for 5 out total. Nice job earning the clean sheet defensively. Ryle had a few good looks at goal that they could have converted. Both keepers played well. CovCath had some nice opportunities, including one off the post in the final 10 mins or so and a couple other chances that have to be put in to win games. 3 shutouts in 4 games I believe so obviously it's not happening for them on offense. Ryle's keeper is a nice player and they have a couple other players that played well. Even shorthanded, the Colonels need to figure out a way to win these games.

Agree with comments from groinpull, both had their chances in the final 10 minutes, CCH had a few more I think.

Surprise there was no mention of the PA announcer being different, made it much easier to watch the match, IMO.

Yes, meant to say that the announcer was new and did a good job, one of the better ones I have heard.

I was told that he was the announcer for the JV matches.

Didn't have the "bar" set too high

Look for Ryle to be a soccer power for the next few years. They have at least 3 very good frosh starting varsity to keep it rolling at Ryle.

Last night, only 1 of the 3 started, all 3 are playing considerable minutes and becoming a major part of their success. :)

Defense and keeper play again was very good for Ryle...Raiders with 2 starters still out...Ryle still trying to convert opportunities from set plays and runs into actual goals. As always, Siemer leaves it all out on the field...I don't think he has an "off" switch. Not the most exciting game but the effort level from both teams was very high.

For the CCH contingent......if both teams were healthy, what would you think the score would be? 0-0 still?..which team seemed to be missing more?

Ok....not why I asked just the CCH guys......probably because they have seen both........anyone can comment...

OTB, I have seen both at least once and know several of the boys on both squads, so I will take a stab at it.

I will have to say CCH wins by 1-2 goals if they are both healthy and at full strength.

I feel that the 2 players that Ryle has out hurts them up top but not so much on the back line, the defensive replacement more than holds their own but they are suffering in the scoring department with the other one being out.

I think that the boys that CCH are missing has a bigger impact, not just from a numbers standpoint, it is also because of the quality of players that they have out. I think that you could say that 3 of the boys that are currently out would be considered part of their "core" and I would think that they are among the top players on the squad. I think their replacements are doing well but there is definitely a difference in how the team plays without the boys that are out.

Soccer is so exciting I can't stand it.

Not good news for Boone.
