The Chiefs right tackle has been lined up in the backfield all night long. Never been called for illegal formation. He happens to be the one trying to block Hutchinson.

I haven’t seen a game program this season which would have the sizes listed for FS, but I don’t think they are that big across the board. They are playing a lot of young linemen this season too. They do have pretty good team speed on defense and I think they have been smaller than all the other teams they have played.

FS and Adair County have played 8 times as far as I can tell. They were in the same district from 1995-1998 and 2003-2006. FS won 7 of the 8 games with Adair winning in 2003 on the way to a second place finish in the district behind Bowling Green. Most of the games were big wins for the Wildcats. I do not foresee a big margin of victory for either team this week. Adair County’s 28 point win over Bethlehem should not be overlooked. Bethlehem’s other 2 games were huge blowouts over Marshall County and Carroll County and Bethlehem has been a consistently good team in 1A the last few years. Adair County has a fairly balanced offense and seems like they are somewhat similar to Allen County, who always gives FS fits. I will pick FS to win 34-21. I would be disappointed but not shocked if Adair County won though.

FS took 5 first half turnovers from the Patriots on the way to a 28-0 lead early in the third quarter. Looked like it may have been headed for a running clock but ACS kept fighting. A few big plays by the Patriots and some big penalties and mistakes by FS fueled a furious comeback. FS buckled down late and had one of their long clock eating drives capped off with a clinching field goal to wrap up the victory. This is always a hard fought game between two bitter rivals. ACS knows FS probably better than anyone else and even when FS has more talent on paper, it’s never an easy win for them. FS has lost several times to ACS when they probably shouldn’t have. Always nice to get the win in this one.

Final score FS wins 31-21. Got a bit closer than it should have at the end but this rivalry always brings out the best in ACS.
