Yep that and the holding call too really hurt the Chiefs on their last drive. So odd that they finally called penalties at the worst possible time for the Chiefs after they let them do it the whole game.

They finally called it the 40th time he did it 🤣

So the rules expert finally addressed it and even he said it’s not even close to legal.

I noticed it last year league-wide. I can’t help but think the league is telling the officials to let the tackles line up that far back to help protect the QBs.

Chiefs had more players in the backfield than on the line on that third down play before the field goal.
