It's obvious no one has a clue what they are talking about. Wallace did buy out the contract. When it says in the Daily News "No public school funds were used to buy out the contract" it meant by BGISD. That doesn't mean the QB club couldn't have bought them out. And I don't believe the reason was that we were scared.. I think it was pretty obvious that Wallace didn't want a repeat of what happened last year. Having this rivalry heated up one year later, coaches discrediting each other in newspapers, and let's not forget the near brawls at the game. What coach or parent would want to put their kids in that type of situation again? It'd just be a ticking time bomb for something to happen.

Would've been nice to see it go to a public school

To be honest, I believe this game will be the toughest test for Bowling Green since St X in 2012. BG is a little banged up with a couple of starters out. In my honest opinion I believe that the Purples will find a way to pull through and win this game. This is the game that this team and a lot of BG fans have been waiting for to see how good we are. Also, Jacob Yates didn't play tonight. Anyone know the reason? Injury?

Was at the game. Went down yelling and holding his knee. Looked to me that he was hit after the whistle. Once he got up he took a couple steps and went back down. Hope it's not as serious as it looked. He's a great kid and athlete. Would be a big loss.

If it's at Owensboro, the refs will be a factor. I'll still take BG 38-10. But won't be surprised if it's a closer game because of how the game is called.

Great game by both teams! Both teams played very tough all the way until the last minute. There were a couple of questionable calls on both sides of the ball, but that's football. Good teams play through those calls and that's exactly what X and BG did. Many are questioning X and how they'll do in the playoffs. If you ask me, I see them doing very well after the performance last night. That is if the coaching staff will allow them. And as for Bowling Green, what a performance. The Jungle D really showed what they were about Friday night. McIntyre played with an amazing heart as well as Scott. The offense struggled at points but that's going to happen against some big and talented kids from X. All in all, this is a game to remember! Great game Purples! :banana:
