Somebody named a school after an Egyptian from the 26th century BC??

You could visit their website. The "temple" in Ghostbusters was built in honor of Imhotep. Imhotep is also featured in Mystery at the Museum! The school is centered on African studies.

Hey, the dude was one of the best architect/engineers in history, he deserves at least 1 school named after him.

Not knocking the school or him at all...it's just really interesting to me. Seems like there are a lot of super smart and super interesting individuals overt the course of history who have done lots of things that would make them perfectly deserving of schools named after them. And now Google has taught me that there are schools in the United States named after Isaac Newton and Archimedes both.

...although I'm not so sure that those schools are known for their sports teams.

To be fair I would have liked it better if they were like the Sphinx's instead of the Panthers

Well one thing is for sure... Philadelphia and the state of Pennsylvania allows for charter schools. Something Kentucky will now even get to the people's vote. It can only be a good thing for the inner city kids of Philly to have a choice on their education. One that provides African-centered principles is an added bonus. After a little research on the school and others similar to it nationally, scores are through the roof compared to publics with the same demographics. This is a win-win. This school seems to have the balance of academics and athletics charter schools generally lack. Respect to the Rocks for finding quality opponents. Hopefully, the mayor of Louisville and Trinity alum is at the game. Maybe he can see the value of such a school here in town and get the ball rolling.

Trinity picks up their first win of 2014 with a 21-13 victory over Imhotep.

Trinity will be using their #2 QB, correct?

This Philly team looks like they have the "long ball" passing game. Could be trouble for the Rocks.

This week Trinity avoids the O'fer and gets a big and much needed W . . . Better get it this week because next week is another real toughie!!!! Don't want to be 0 - 4 going to fifth game of season.....

Last time it happened it worked out okay. I would say 2003 wasn't so bad

^ I could have posted that myself but I know you would do it and enjoy it more than me....!
