This is wrong Somerset/LCA winner will have to play mayfield in the semifinals not in the championship the new bracket is west half of the state vs the East half of the state the RPI definitely matters there seems to be a lot of confusion on this if anyone wants to clear anything up the khsaa has the complete brackets listed on their site the brackets are set the only question is the location after the second round remains to be settled

Wrong about them going to school in another building they went the entire year at cordia the cafeteria was all that was damaged. The meals were catered in and it was business as usual.

I will have to say the Estill Co. band is second to none that train song they do is incredible it sounds much better in person the video doesn't really do it justice I have actually been looking for that on YouTube and can't find it do you think you could find a good head on video showing the led lighted instrument and all really cool!

I typed to Rod earlier today he still talks to the players daily he is happy.

Cordia has got better and better as the season has gone on. I knew the first of the season Cordia would loose several game but by season end they will be good they are too athletic not to be. They just needed to learn to play together.

I wouldn't trust those clowns at the KHSAA to seed anything the ones that would get the best seed is the schools that will grease That big fat hog that runs the show at the Khsaa. Boo Hoo for the big schools. In the big picture if you ain't first your last all that matters is winning a title the best team wins if the top 2 teams play in the first round the best team wins. Runner up is the first looser. Lol!!

For one this should not be Called the all A classic. It is not a class A tournament. It is actually a 3 A tournament. About half the schools in the state compete in it. As far as the khsaa sponsoring it that's like saying does the KHSAA sponsor the lake Cumberland classic.

Man this is a game Cordia gave away they lead a big part of the game. Cordia was up 1 with 30 seconds to go and threw the ball away on the inbounds. I actually though they would loose this game they did not have their starting point guard Darian Pringle. His mom took him back to New York for a death in the family he will actually miss the next 3 games.

They have a hearing January 20 I think they are in a dispute with the insurance company they don't want to cover the damage. The law office has taken it pro bono they must think they will win.

They do practice there quiet a bit but the kids hate playing there. They asked the coach if they could play the game at Knott Co Central.

Cordia does have a coach this year that is pretty well connected political in Perry co and is very well liked by pretty much everyone he knows all the referees and coaches and gets along with most everyone. The kids like him really well. I think he will change the perception of the way people look at them.

Why would it be hard for you to imagine that. Knott has 3 starters back from last year Cordia has 3 starters back Cordia split with them last season. Perry has 1 starter back and they beat Cordia by 4 last year. The 2 starters Cordia has this year is much improved over last year. Cordia is by far the most athletic team in the region and it's not even close. They do have a bunch of young players they depend on heavily on that are freshman or sophomore with no varsity experience. Cordia will loose a few early but by January they will be a tough team to beat. The region will come down between Cordia and knott co this year.

Cordia has some nice young talent too. Darian Pringle is one oxfthe best sophomores in the state. Khalil Harris is a monster talent also a sophomore just needs some games under his belt to get in the swing of things. They have a couple of other. Sophomores that by seasons end will be really good. Cordia will be a team you don't want to play at the end of the season.

I predicted 35 before the game Knox is the real deal.

Maybe I should have clarified a little more Dylan Nobel did appear in 17 games and spurgeon did appear in 20 but they did not play significant minutes last season. Making an appearance and playing is different. Harris,pringle,Glasgow,Ramon have never seen varsity action they are either freshman or sophomore.

They had a couple players did not play Oumar keta did not play and won't play next Saturday they are just rehabbing him until the first game of regular season. All their players are freshman and sophomore. They only have 2 players that played last night that has ever played a high school game. They are really quick and athletic they should be really good. They missed a ton of close up shots and shot the ball horrible from 3 they have some really good shooters. The game was broadcast live on cordia boys basketball Facebook live. Replay is probally still on there.

It was rumored that he un enrolled from school Wednesday that is false. I know his dad has wanted him to go to Hazard for a couple of years but the kid does not want to go. Only time will tell I guess.

I have not said much about it but Cordia is going to be really good this year and for someone to say they won't compete is foolish they have basically all their key player back from last year and they have several more come in. They are going to be athletic and super quick. They will be young but they have ball handlers and shooters. If someone could tell me how to post a photo I can post a team photo taken yesterday ther are a couple of kids not present for doctor visit but it is complete.

Cordia has been up and down all year long. They are really young. Most everyone in the cordia community expected them to be much better this year but when you lose two top ten players in the state. Anthony Nelson to prep school in Connecticut he just got offer last week from Arizona. He is now the number 2 rated player in Connecticut. And Trace Young to to north Hardin it will hurt you bad. Cordia only plays mostly 6 players and they had 2 of them out due to illness last night. Marquis frazer DNP stomach bug and MOMO Mercedo was out due to mental illness LOL! I was really surprised it was thst close. It was about a 22 point game and coach Hurt cleared the bench with about 4 minutes to go and they stretched the lead out Scott co subbed in 3 players and they just ran away with the cordia bench players.

The reason Trace Young was ruled elidigible after going to Huntington prep was when you are at Huntington you actually attend school at st joes. Therefore it is considered club ball. He was ruled elidigible when he was at cordia. Then over the summer I guess he saw greener pastures.
