Starting his freshman season, The Great Midwest Athletic Conference will include: Alderson Broaddus University Cedarville University Davis and Elkins College Kentucky Wesleyan College Ohio Valley University Salem International University Trevecca Nazarene University Hillsdale College Lake Erie College Malone University Ohio Dominican University University of Findlay Walsh University Should be some good competition... Happy for the kid and all of his future teammates.

There are more kids in NKY that are evading my memory, but it's a solid 2016 class that will see several kids at the next level... Including Stringer (Louisville) and Combs (UK).

Middle infielder and top of order hitter (1 or 2 spot) is what I've heard they are projecting him to do.

Ludlow SS Evan Slone has committed to play baseball at Alderson Broaddus University... A very nice D II program in West Virginia. Interesting footnote: He was recruited to go to AB by Coach Jake Oester (son of former Cincinnati Reds' second baseman Ron Oester). Congrats Evan!

Well, that was short-lived! Guess we can now say "Calvary Christian Needs A New Coach"... Coach Scheid had a great first season, but has stepped down. From what I've heard, he wanted to stay on a "year to year" basis and the school was looking for a 4-5 year commitment. Sounds like a mutual parting of the ways. It's a shame for Calvary though. Coach Scheid was already making a lot of progress with that program in a short period of time.

Anyone know if Ziggy and Purnell were recruited as two-way players or pitcher only?

I don't think anyone's posted on here... But I know he has an offer from Brevard College in North Carolina (D II) and I've heard he has a couple more D 2 schools showing interest... As well as several D 3 and NAIA schools. D1 would most likely be walk-on as far as I've heard.

Good to see this.... He's one of the kids I've enjoyed watching in Northern Kentucky. I'm interested to see where Purnell (Boone), Raisor (Highlands), Slone (Ludlow) and Slusher (Beechwood) all commit to as well.

Ludlow's Tyler Durham signed with Cincinnati Christian University today.... Good kid, I wish him well.

Wish I could get there tonight... But I'll have to try and see Ramey at a Bluegrass game sometime this summer... They're loaded with a lot of great players that I enjoy watching when I get the chance.
