I love my team in all 3 phases but I have to give credit where credit is due. Louisville Central has a scary team when you look at their defense and special teams coverage. They sworm to the ball and they hit you. A very gritty bunch. I worked a camp in 2010 with Ty and he is a detailed individual. They put a hat on the kids and strip you if the other guy holds you up. For them to limit Donnie and JJ is a big deal. Those 2 have combined for 2,000 yards and 23 TDS. The adjustments during pre snap threw us off. We would check to a play they would check out of their look and go man or zone. They would blitz from exotic angles and limited the home run. We had to hit singles and doubles last night. So yes that was the best overall defense I've seen in 2015 against LC. The Elizabethtown squad has our undivided attention. They do some things that scare me and I think a challenge the Knights will experience is their mental toughness. Some of the best wins they've had this season were followed with clunkers. All of that emotion and getting them refocused is priority number 1. You're facing a hungry opponent on their turf and they are craving respect. Time to look at some more of E Town this weekend

There are no excuses for some of the early season struggles but we were a banged up team early in the season. Jaylen Jones breaks his hand at training camp and never played up to his level until midway through the season. We lost Legend to the collarbone against Cov Cath and then inserted Kirk Fagot for like a 8 game stretch. We lost the Lark and Carpenter our starting LT and LG to concussions in the 2nd quarter of the Johnson Central game so that hurt us in the trenches. Chris Thompson had a bad concussion against Ryle that sidelined him for a bit so the offense had guys hurt. On defense Andy Hickey played through a shoulder injury and when he came out that's when Cooper scored on 3 long scores. All and all we front load the schedule to get it going when district play rolls around. We got our guys back and the confidence grew. For this to be a shock means you assumed and you know what they say about assuming.

It's a shame that in 2015 we can't enjoy a football game in peace. A sport that the can shape young men into great human beings, and a few bone head individuals turn into something negative. This is why we have to start being fathers or father figures to our children. Keep your foot in their butt and hold them accountable for their actions. I read a powerfull message two months back that said: Either through neglect, abuse, or simple absence, we are witnessing a generation of parentless people who are becoming parents themselves.

It's nor fair to the rest of the bracket but I'd like to see a best out of 5 playoff with Male and Trinity to determine the winner.

There were no losers in this game. Credit Central for bringing out the best in us. A few breaks went their way in the first half a few went our way in the second. I am not sure but I felt like seeing those kids from Central leave it all on the field was a credit to those parents, players and coaches. The answer about the fans traveling yes I was told they reserved buses for family, friends and students. As far as this game goes there are games that worry you and there are games that don't. I've stated games where I felt they were a trap game, this is definitely a statement game. In order to be state champions this team will have to go to play a quality opponent on their field and there is a focus unlike no other this week. If you can't get fired up for this one something is wrong. I've read on how people say this will happen and that will happen, but based on watching every game this season on both teams I love LexCath's chances.

Last grass game was a Running Clock after 25 min of play against SW Pulaski. Nice try

I can't speak for every team but I was shocked that one of the LexCath players was not asked. It's an all star type of event but I was shocked at him being left off
