yep there you go again...that poor horse! The comparison was made by offsides not me, I just a stated a fact in reference to his comparison.

I'm not trying to justify anything; I'm simply stating a fact. I said in my other post on the other thread that I would have taken him out sooner. I however do not want anyone to misinterpret Offsides and come to the conclusion that this player from "that" team was allowed to stay in to break a record. He wasn't.

Just for the record, the player on that "other" team was taken out before he was able to break the record he was aiming for as well.

Might be a little hard for even Treadway to score 14 from the bench.

I have no idea what the purpose of that post was. In that match I would have been cheering for CCH. I am quite fond of several of the guys on that team and even a few of the parents.

I will limit my comments to this....I believe the coach and the player both were at some fault in this game. I will follow that statement with a reminder to all of you that our coach is only in his second season of being involved with high school soccer period. He is not from this country and did not play high school soccer here. He also never coached high school soccer before last year. There is no manual that I know of that tells a new coach how to handle situations he has never faced. He will learn from his mistakes just like everyone else learns from their own. Unfortunately, Scott is similar to several other high schools in the fact that our AD doesn't really care about us unless it affects him directly so there isn't much guidance for a new coach coming from the administration. As for the player, you all know we live in an achievement based society. In this situation the player was trying to break a record. Do I think it is necessary...no. How many conversations in soccer begin with who scored? We are all a little to blame for that mentality.

You are correct and I would like to add that there were no cards issued to Scott and 1 yellow issued to CC.

My son as well as several others in the current starting line up have never received a red card before. There is likely no direct correlation between red cards issued and injury. My oldest son was seriously injured in a game by a CCH player his sophomore year and no card was issued for the foul. There are several quality players at Scott and they do not deserve these generalizations.

And you are completely initialed to your belief as I was on field level and my son was on the field and I stick by what I saw....so I will agree to disagree with you and vice versa.

I am sure if you asked 10 different people how Treadway got the red you would get 10 different answers. I was at the game and I am a Scott fan so in comparison to the above I will state my version of the incident. Morgan committed a foul against a Boone player, in the process he fell on the ground, ref blew for the foul, Boone Co tried to take a quick re-start while Morgan was still on the ground ( Morgan was never on his feet with the ball between his legs) placing the ball by his head and then kicking him in the chest, Morgan stood up aggressively as was the Boone Co players stance. ( there was no rolling or purposely trying to block a kick) Treadway jumped between the players and pushed the Boone Co player away from Morgan. I believe there are several people on this blog that have seen Morgan play and will vouch for the fact that he is not a dirty player. I have no issue with the yellow being given although I believe the Boone player should have received one as well--both actions were unsporting behavior. As for Luke getting a red--that is where "violent conduct" needs to be more consistent. I have seen kids do more and get a yellow....

IMO when cards are issued without justification they do nothing to help control a game in fact they destroy it which is what happened tonight.

Goal for Boone county was scored by Brett Mayberry with an assist from Lucas Wheeler

Two red cards issued to Scott players and 3 or 4 red cards issued to Boone players....honestly I couldn't keep up with all the cards issued in this game. I do not believe either team should be happy with the way this game went.

Well I guess if I am going to get called out for making a "club soccer" reference I might as well do it right by mentioning that the club team they play for won Ky State Cup and Gold at Disney....ok now I feel the quote above is more justified :up:

Morgan was Scott Offensive Player of the year last season with 16 goals and 16 assists.....Ifyou were watching the game at Highlands at all you would have also noticed that without Morgan working the middle we wouldn't have had near the opportunities to score that we did. I will agree that our 2 forwards should have scored on more than 2 of our 20+ shots on goal. I do believe that some of that was normal first game issues that will be quickly resolved....sorry ScottEagle but you are coming across like a bitter player or parent IMO.

Scott vs Highlands ended in a 2 to 2 tie Scott's Schneider had the first goal with an assist from Morgan and Treadway had the second which was unassisted....sorry not sure which of the Highlands players scored.

I have been told that Treadway has verbally committed to UK.
