What's happening out there in the world of high school soccer?

Any showcases to report? Tournaments? Team changes?

Post it up. We have our own soccer forum now so let's start kicking it!

Ohio Elite Showcase was this past weekend. Pretty sure Kings Hammer represented well with undefeated weekends by their U15, U16, and U17 Red Teams. Also heard that Coach Hitch with Campbell County has resigned due to a new addition to the family.

Kings boys teams? Girls teams? Both?

This past weekend was the Girls, Boys Elite is next weekend. The Kings U14 Boys are headed to Las Vegas in mid-March to complete the remaining portion of their National League Schedule, it is being run in conjunction with the Players Showcase.

Are there any other local teams headed to Vegas this week? In addition to the U14 Boys, I believe that KHA has 2 girls team headed there next weekend.

Just follow Treadway and Ross... they are both going D-1

Congrats! That is great. What do you mean by "follow Treadway and Ross"?

This Kings Hammer team won their first game yesterday in the National League in Las Vegas. They beat a team from Arizona 3-1.

Trey Schierenbeck, a frosh at Campbell County, had an awesome game with several saves.

Adam Snow, a frosh at Cooper scored one of the 3 goals.

I am not understanding the Treadway and Ross comment, were they playing in Vegas?

Schierenbeck had a good showing, did not let the Sereno Club gain any momentum after KHA got up early. The goal that Snow had was early in the game, he was played a thru ball out wide and was in a foot race with the defender. He was not able to gain any separation from the back and struck the ball from well outside the box without taking a touch... side netting, goalie had no chance with how quickly the shot was taken.

I have been told that Treadway has verbally committed to UK.

Not high school soccer per se, but I watched a really good U18 team of former Northern Ky high school ladies play a tournament this weekend in Miamitown. Pretty impressive! Any of these ladies can play at the next level. I don't know all of them, but the ones have seen play in high school are Jessie Schilling, Marie Burns, Kara Schwartz & Emily Pawsat from Beechwood; Paige Kellum form NDA; Sam Bunzel from NCC; Anna Crosthwaite from Dixie; Kelsey Etherton from Highlands; Jill Davenport from Ryle; a couple of really good players from Brossart; and one other young lady from Beechwood. I know I'm missing and few more. Most of these players played under the old KLASS (?) club as the Knockouts. Neat to see a reunion team. Ended up 2-0-1.

Good stuff, Veritas! Keep on promoting our soccer players!
