This will not be a low scoring game. If Highlands offense uses Lorenzon and Williams to pound, pound, pound the pass will be wide open. That was the Woodford Co. recipe that produced 57 points. Candidly I was shocked that SC was so porous. On the flip side the Cardinals Wing-T offense was deceptive and their backs hit holes as small cracks opened. Probably a nightmare to defend if your D-line hits, absorbs and then looks….too, late, he’s gone. Defense better know the Cardinals’ tendencies and be right consistently. McKee’s has only done the same thing for 29 years.

Have remotely followed the Cardinals under McKee’s for years and certainly not in person as you have. Very disappointing to hear they lose their cool as you say. Got to give Coach McKee his offensive props. They bambuzle big defensive lines with quick, athletic 200 lb lineman and adept ball handling and misdirection. No props for their defense. Just porous against Woodford rushing and passing game.

Just impossible to tell your Froshmore bench players to not give their best. Did not see the game, but I expect the varsity played less than 15-20 offensive plays.

Thanks for the clarification VOR. Could you look at one more play? A backbreaker was late in the 4th and SC down 50-43 and driving. They turn the ball over on downs when the line judge (?) spots the ball 3 inches short of 1st down. Live it clearly looked like QB had stretched the ball well past the marker before his knees came down. Can you opine on the spot? Big turning point.

Exhausted watching that track meet. Nearly 1,200 yards of total offense and 15 touchdowns. Forgot to mention even a couple of tackles on a great goal line stand that sealed the victory for the Yellowjackets. As much as I have loved watching Coach McKee’s offensive machine over the years, I do not think they will matchup well with Highlands next week. But, that is for another thread.

SC goes 60 yards off right tackle for quick tying TD…43 all.

Dennis Johnson’s nephew is center for WC opening a lot of holes. 60yd catch and run puts the Yellowjackets up 43-36. First tie-breaker this week going to be a huge number.

Emongo goes off left tackle from 20 yards for his 5TD on the night. Two pt. pass ties it at 36.

29-28 Woodford Co. at half. Scott Co. seems to not be able to tackle anyone, while Woodford CO’s defense can’t get close enough to Emongo(?) to even touch him. This is a fun game to watch and I believe the only possession not ending in a TD was Woodford’s first on an interception. The Johnson DNA sure is apparent throughout the WC team.

Without Tarter Polar Bears win by 2 TDs, with a healthy Tarter BC by running clock in mid 4th qtr. He is obviously chomping to get on the field. Does his coach bring him back in a very limited fashion? With a 2 seed BC could win a couple of early round playoff games. Might be first post-season victories in program history???
