Kentucky Windage Posted October 18 Author Posted October 18 Ludlow got a TD with under 20 seconds left. The PAT kick failed, but Brossart was flagged for offsides. Ludlow decided to go for 2 and the win. But the Panthers were stuffed at the 1 yard line. 1 1
REALSPORT Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Wow. This gives Brossart 2nd place and a home playoff game.

icalldownfire Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Brossart was gifted a touchdown in the first half. Made a huge difference

Mustang Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Fun, competitive game depends on your perspective. pretty stressful from where I was sitting. Insanity ran rampart in the first quarter. A quick Ludlow touchdown, followed by Ludlow intercepting and running in a Brossart pass. A flag negated the touchdown and the Mustangs dodged the bullet. Mustangs then intercept a Ludlow pass which resulted in a Brossart score (6 yard Bentley McKinzie TD). Three, three-and-outs later, the quarter ended with the score knotted at sevens. Both teams scored in the second frame, Brossart first via a 25 yard pass from Landen Spaulding to Nick Cozzi, and then Ludlow recovering a Brossart fumble in the endzone. All PATs were good by Max Runge (Brossart) and Finn McMillan (Ludlow), and we were tied at 14 at intermission. We took the kickoff to start the second half and spent half of the period marching the piggy 90 yards, culminated by an 8 yard touchdown pass from Spaulding to Landon Ketron. That drive included completions of 24 and 27 yards each to Nick Cozzi. We maintained the 21-14 lead until 34 ticks remained in the game. At that time Ludlow scored, but had the PAT attempt blocked, BUT there was a flag on the play. Ludlow now had the ball at the one-and-a-half yard line and Ludlow coach, Woody McMillian went for the win. The Mustang defense was up to the task and escaped the Rigney "Haunted House" with a 21-20 win, our third of he season. We move on to Trimble County next week to complete district seeding play. A win over the Raiders secure us a home playoff game. Nothing seems to come easy for this group of Mustangs. 1 4

Ludlow would be that order.

Ludlow is only 4 spots behind Brossart in the RPI. If Ludlow were to beat Holy Cross. That would be a huge bump in their RPI beating an undefeated team. Holy Cross I agree has the one seed locked up, as they are to far ahead to pass in a three way tie. Brossart is not to far ahead in regards to the 2 seed, if a three way tie were to happen.

It should, in my opinion, but I don't think it does. Ludlow playing and beating a 5A school their last game would be a bigger bump than beating another 1A school.
