Danville absolutely buzz sawed Garrard. I was very surprised by the score. I'm guessing the thought of being a 4 seed brought the Ads to their senses. So now that the district matchup are set, how hard do Danville/Lincoln go at this Friday? Basically, this game determines what color jersey you wear for your tourney matchup.

Normally I would agree but pretty sure everyone at Southwest is at least 18 years old minimum:sssh:

On a side note, I heard Boyle radio announcer Steve Bertram was quoted saying Southwest leads the 12th Region in Man Buns!!:banana::jump::clap:

Probably the best complete game Boyle has played since the holidays. Boyle looked good on both sides of the ball, especially on defense, extending beyond the arc to eliminate 3pt looks for Southwest. Offensively, Boyle stayed patient and got some really nice looks via back door cuts and strong drives to the basket. Of course it always helps when Slone knocks down his first three 3 pointers. Reese Smith is an absolutely outstanding basketball player.

I love when Will is on the floor and not in foul trouble. I also love when we go small and put 5 shooters on the floor. Sometimes this is exactly what we need.

Based on records, I expect this to be a close game. I will pick Boyle by 3 at home. Should be a fun one to watch.

He is indeed. Will isn't a big stat maker but when he is not on the floor, the Rebels are not the same team...sometimes for the better....sometimes for the worst.

I think both technicals were the result of talking back to the officials after the personals were called. There may or may not have been profanities used, but I think they get T'd just for arguing the calls with the referees. Danville has really good talent and very little discipline (I don't know if the kids are uncoachable or the the coach can't control the team). I'm not sure being down 10 in the 4th the Ads would have gotten back in the game...but after the Techs were called the game was over. And I do agree, offensively Danville should be patient and attack the paint every chance possible. They basically have 3, maybe 4 guys who can get to the rim off the drive. If nothing else they will get to the FT line.

One thing is for sure.....there is no quit in Lincoln. I thought the same thing. After a multi OT road game on Tuesday, I figured Lincoln would peter out in the fourth. No Sir, those kids battled to the end. I am thankful we did not have to inbound the last few seconds. All the momentum was in Lincoln's favor and no telling what would have happened. Just win Baby!! Nice win Rebels.

Boyle's defense is pretty sound. They have occasional breakdowns but fundamentally they do a good job of staying in front and squared up against the ball. Great scoring balance with 4 guys in double figures. 2 more big games this week to close out the district for the Rebels.

Any of the candidates would have been great Mr. Football. However, there is only one winner. The winner is based on who gets the most votes from AP voters, period. Since there isn't a criteria, voters pick based on whatever they want. Local kid, yearly stats, career stats, character, .....whatever. Me personally, I support whoever wins....this year it is a really nice player from Danville, KY. If you won Mr. Football.....congratulations!! If you were a candidate for Mr. Football.....congratulations!! Either way, you are in Elite company!

Baby J hit 2 huge 3’s down the stretch when Boyle needed to score. That basically sealed the deal for Boyle. Rematch at Boyle next Wednesday!

More and more teams come up with slogans to kinda reiterate what needs to be done to reach goals. For example Boyle County slogans the last 2 years as selected by the Senior Class 2017: Through the Wall 2016: Change the Cycle Yes these are obscure and hard to measure, but for Boyle anyway, this is the focus day in and day out.

He was thinkin this guy isnt gonna score on a breakaway. When 280lb fouls 180lb to deny a basket, it will be an intentional foul. I promise.
