I thought Caleb Jackson had his best game of the year. Some key baskets.

He was huge tonight. And he played with confidence and that is extremely important. I thought he and Jacob Lassiter both played great tonight and it was really good to see.

Probably the best complete game Boyle has played since the holidays. Boyle looked good on both sides of the ball, especially on defense, extending beyond the arc to eliminate 3pt looks for Southwest.

Offensively, Boyle stayed patient and got some really nice looks via back door cuts and strong drives to the basket. Of course it always helps when Slone knocks down his first three 3 pointers.

Reese Smith is an absolutely outstanding basketball player.

Reese has really turned it on lately and it couldn’t have come at a better time. He’s really getting into a groove and is a matchup nightmare for most teams when he is at the top of his game like this.

Good points. I felt like it was an ugly win mainly because of some of the silly turnovers we had and I know they were mental lapses which are bound to happen sometimes. It was a good complete game for sure though looking back at it and truthfully I never felt like Boyle wasn’t in control of the game or a threat to lose this game.

As always though I know they are capable of playing better and there’s no doubt in my mind that they will keep getting better every game.

It’s always a great feeling when Bryce gets the game started watching the ball go through the hoop.

On a side note, I heard Boyle radio announcer Steve Bertram was quoted saying Southwest leads the 12th Region in Man Buns!!:jump::clap:

Without a doubt he is partially right, but since this is boys basketball according to the KHSAA wouldn't it be boy buns they lead the region in.

Normally I would agree but pretty sure everyone at Southwest is at least 18 years old minimum:sssh:

This was a great win against a physical, veteran team and far from being ugly. Our kids just took it to them and refused to wilt under a lot of pressure. I believe they started 5 seniors. A good time to come together even if we were missing one of our key guys. Reese continues to amaze with his toughness and the rest of the team seems to feed off that

Kinda reminds me of all those Boyle County sophomores on the football team.
