Ive seen more than one person refer to the fact that we have to travel, and that is huge disadvantage. You guys know that we travel all the time. We don't have a home field. Our fans are road warriors, we'll be there in force. Just ask Glasgow. 3 years in a row, we had just as many fans in their stadium than they did. Don't feel sorry for our boys either, they won't be cramped up in school buses. We don't take school buses. We'll roll up in our coach buses, step onto the field, and take care of business. We have something bigger on schedule next week. Monroe won't keep that from happening. They can't score enough to beat us. 35-7 Colts roll.

I think you might change your tune about our defense after seeing it. Just a hunch.

Hard to go against Central in the playoffs. Central in a close one.

I just don't see Monroe matching up with us at all. We have 2 common opponents. North Hardin which they loss to 26-18. We beat North 41-7, and Green County which Monroe did beat 26-22. We beat Green 41-0. I just hope our guys aren't looking ahead, to a rematch with CAL. That does worry me a little. I say the Colts D will dominate Monroe and hold them to single digits.

We held Green to just 2 first downs. The offense will be fine. Between the flags, and the field, which was in terrible condition, they did what the Colts do, pound the ball, and Johnson was I believe 13 of 15 passing for 200 yds. Pretty good balance. The defense was men among boys. Now we will see how Monroe will attempt to attack it. I just think that they haven't seen anything like it.

Not much to see here but yellow flags flying. Not sure where this crew came from for the playoffs, but it was flag city. As expected the defense dominated Green County. I don't think they ever got passed the 50. I really don't think passed the 40. They had no answers whatsoever. On to Monroe.

Colts lead it 28-0 at the half. Its been flag city with this officiating crew. Colt D has dominated this one Green County might have not more than a few plays for positive yardage.

I would much rather see DeSales vs NCC. I got to pull for our brothers in faith on the east side. Go Privates!

I think our defense which is the best (statistically speaking)in 2A will dominate Green County. I hope their QB has some wheels, or it's going to be a long night.

I'm looking forward to a trip to Monroe County. I always like going places I've never visited. I think DeSales defense will control the game.

In this class it could happen.

I gave your defense credit. I said we had the turnovers. But if your saying the turnovers had no impact on the game. C'mon! Last year you guys just plain beat us in the regular season. This year, yeah you won, credit is due, but we've been down this path before. All Ive said is next time we meet in the playoffs. We win. That's my opinion. And give me this, it kinda is based on past performances. I'm not disrespecting CAL, you can use whatever motivation you need there. I feel if CAL does survive that they can beat Mayfield. But. I don't think you'll beat DeSales when it counts. What can I say? I'm a fan. I support my team.

So you better hope for DeSales then. You guys should have a easy time with us, by your assumption. Funny thing is though while we did lose to CAL, which is nothing new by the way, we did have 4 turnovers, that was the game. Stats don't win games but if they did, lets look at them. First downs DeSales 16 Cal 6. Rushing DeSales 128 CAL 38. They did beat us in the air CAL 131 DeSales 64. It was a typical CAL vs DeSales game. We don't turn the ball over (which we did) they scored on a FG. These are the 2 best defenses in 2A hands down. They will keep either team in any game. Losing that regular season game against CAL has always helped our kids come playoff time. They feed off of it. If we don't get cute and go away from what was working in that first game, and continue to pound the ball like we should have, then we might get the same result. But something tells me, it's going to be a repeat of the last 3 years. Our boys expect to beat CAL when it counts.

I just bet Glasgow is glad they don't have to look across the field and see the Colts again. I think we worn our welcome out down there. lol

Everything I said at the end of last year is coming true concerning Mayfield. When they made the jump up to 2A, I never said they wouldn't compete. C'mon they are Mayfield. They have earned every bit of the success they have achieved. What i said is that the road will be tougher. We are at the end of the year now, heading into the playoffs. If they were still 1A, how many teams besides Mayfield do you think would have a legitimate shot? I say Beechwood, and that's about it. Now that they are in 2A there are 6 teams with a legitimate shot at winning it. Mayfield does have the advantage with home field. If they can run the gauntlet, then I'll be the first to congratulate them and say job well done. It's been fun having them in 2A, and I'm glad they are here. I prefer them over Caldwell Co.

No dog is this fight. But as someone said earlier. I think your over estimating your talent base a little. They have been competitive in most of their games they lost. Which of those games should they have won? On max preps is list Rockcastle with a roster of 33 players. Is that correct? If it is, your not going to win a lot of games with injuries to bigger quality teams. We are 2A and dress 91 players. What's the population of Rockcastle County?

This is playing out, just like last year. However. I was more concerned with CAL after our game against us last year, than i was this year. Last year, they just flat out beat us. This year while they did win, we did out gain them pretty much in all stats, including the -4 turnovers. There is a lot of factors in playoff football. I like our game in the cold, or rainy weather. Not taking anything away from CAL in that game. They won. But what do you think is going to be in the back of their minds when we meet again?

In all honesty, I feel better about last night's game than last year's. We had more first down's, and yardage than did CAL. We also had 4 turnovers to their none, which was the game. Our play calling was pretty vanilla. We could run the ball, wish we would have committed to it more. It seemed like when we got in any groove then we would abandon it, and throw it. Johnson was not on at all last night. It sucks to lose, but i'll look forward to the rematch.
