1. Mayfield vs. Todd County Central

2. Christian Academy - Louisville vs. Metcalfe County

3. DeSales vs. Green County

4. Owensboro Catholic vs. Webster County

5. Danville vs. East Ridge

6. Murray vs. McLean County

7. Newport Central Catholic vs. Gallatin County

8. Lloyd Memorial vs. Carroll County

9. Shelby Valley vs. Middlesboro

10. Monroe County vs. Shawnee

Mayfield ascended to the number one position a few weeks ago, are they going to be the State Champion? After the loss to CAL, can DeSales right the ship and make it to the State Championship Game? Who has the most difficult road to the Finals? Is Owensboro Catholic the team everyone is forgetting about? Is Danville going to upset anyone? Who will exit the playoffs early?

Pretty easy first week for the top ten. Looks like things don't get crazy until round two.

What do you think about Round 2?

I'll say that OCath has the toughest road to get to state - Murray (nemesis last 4 years) - at Mayfield - Desales/CAL .

Newport Catholic/Covington Holy Cross and Shelby Valley/Lexington Christian stand out as potentially interesting second round games.

What gchs_uk9 said, plus Murry vs O-cath.

Also, at least one Monroe County fan has talked a good game vs DeSales and I'd like to see how that turns out.

Talk is cheap

I love the Monroe fans confidence. There'd be no point if you thought you didn't have a chance right? Can't wait to play them. (Meaning no disrespect to green county)

Food for thought...Monroe would have to go through #1-2-3 to get to BG. I would say that's a hard road!!!

And I can't wait to host Desales. They are hurdle #1!!!!!

Try this for food for thought....Monroe is road kill

I just bet Glasgow is glad they don't have to look across the field and see the Colts again. I think we worn our welcome out down there. lol

Colt pride I would say you are correct. The Scotties do not lose well! They should be use to it by now!!!!
