What i am hear is that, Augusta's coach is the AD and has to be present for the Boys.

Rope a dope??? Really not sure SK is a team to play that with. Not this year anyway. They apparently, ARE on a mission. A mission to prove that though they are young, they are worthy and with each win they gain confidence in what they can do. Personally, I might have gonna a different way....JMHO.

Frustrating!!!! Cancelled due the boys All A Tournament. Currently, plans are to reschedule.

Eagles race to top seed Great article, and great to see the Lady Eagles getting some good recognition in the post Neace era. Not mentioned in the article was the outstanding job done by the Dant/Meyer combo securing boards, and the team defense that allowed Kallmeyer to come off her player to block Taylor Jolly's sure fire 3pointer.

So sorry to here about Ms. Kennedy. Our wishes for a speedy recovery.

This was another huge test for the Lady Eagles against a very athletic and very tough GRC team. Congrats Lady Eagles on a hard fought Regional victory!!!

Having no dog in this fight and not being as familiar with WV as I'd like I can't see a scenario where SK drops this one. Good luck to both teams. It should be an interesting one to follow. I'll take SK by 10 plus.

As I said earlier this would be a great game and it trully lived up to the billing. Game started off back and forth as each team seemed to be feeling each other out. Scott eventually secured the lead by a couple and was able to stretch it slightly by the end of the 1st 20-15. 2nd saw more back and forth action. Scott's press was stifling at times forcing long passes and multiple turnovers. However, Campbell stayed in it through rebounding effort and hitting just about every throw they attempted. 1st half ended with Scott stretching its lead to 35-27. Second half saw more "accordianing" of the score as Scott was able to stretch it to as much as 11, only to have the Lady Camels battle back each time. With time winding down Scott saw their lead shrinking as they got hit with 3 back to back "And 1" calls closing the gap to 2. After a quick foul and a couple of missed free throws, Campbell got the ball back with 6 seconds on the clock. Ball comes in, passed around to the open 3point shooter who let's it fly only to have #42 Kallmeyer from Scott come from nowhere and block the shot. Trempe recovers the block and time expires.

There will be a silent auction, baskets being raffled off and shirts for sale with proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

I will simply say this.....it should be the most competitive and fun to watch game of the night and I look forward to the type of energetic packed house similar to the SK game.

100% agree. In their game against SK they did just that and almost pulled out the win.

All are invited to come out to Scott HS for the Cystic Fibrosis Night, Friday 1/23/15. Whether a Camels or Eagles fan, a fan of Girls basketball, or just looking for another intense fast paced game to fill the void left by the ending of the Holmes/HC match up, we'd love to have you.

Hopefully something she is able to work on during the off season. Not to jump past this season cause there is still a lot of BBall to be played, but next year begins the "post Tibbs" era at Dixie and with the young talent coming up ball security will have to be a top priority.

Ms. Camel. While I appreciate your entitlement to your opinion and the freedom to voice it, I would ask that you not hijack this thread as happened with the Scott/Conner thread. No offense intended RC, because In the interest of driving attention to both the Scott Girls basketball program and to Girls basketball in general (and yes the capital "G" is intentional) I would love to here Ms. Camel's thoughts and happily debate at length, but not here. Now back on track, I reveiwed the game film and I can say this about Dixie. Kylie Brock is a hustler. That girl comes to the court with boundless energy and seems to just keep going. Mary Beth Odom is probably the most overlooked player on that team. She is a workhorse with a high athletic IQ. Game in and game out, she is tough, hustles after rebounds, and not afraid to be physical. Lastly, Tibbs is Tibbs. With her long arms she is extremely hard to defend and impossible to defend 1 on 1.

With the Cooper game approaching hopefully they can find a way to undo whatever it is that has them struggling against the Boone Co. teams.

"A Bit????" Take nothing away from GRC, they are a very solid team but I did not expect this result in the least. Would love to hear from Panda and the rest of the NDA faithful on what happened? I saw the NDA/Holmes game and while it is tough to contend with the speed and depth of Holmes I was impressed with NDA's post players and felt they would be more than enough for the 2 pronged attack of Skinner and Anderson. Was this just a bad shooting night or is there coaching issues?

As a side note this is the first time I have seen an all female referee crew. Putting that a side this was one of the best reffed games I've seen all season. Girls were allowed to play but kept the game under control. One of the few games I can say where the refs were transparent.
