Crutchfield certainly knows hoptown and UHA. But the offer is because kyky has played very well playing up an age group in the eybl. He also knows, coming from UHA, that he will qualify and do well in college. When the 2019 rankings come out, look for kyky to be top 25-top 50 in the nation.

Hollowell now holds offers from SLU, Murray State, WKU, ETSU, Tennessee Tech, and Jacksonville State. Was recently evaluated at the Elite Adidas Event by Butler, Indiana and others. He's waiting a bit longer but if he doesn't get any more offers knows where he is going to commit.

It would just drive you even more crazy. the KHSAA has no consistency and no backbone to enforce their rules.

Tra and Kyky could be the best backcourt in the state next year. In terms of Kyky's development, he's learning from a great one in tra. As a freshman KYKY was likely the best in the state and will continue to improve. District 8 will dominate the second region again.

The issue is that the KHSAA says it is against the rules to transfer for sports, even if you do move etc.... "why" is supposed to matter but he khsaa refuses to enforce the rules it has in place. Why anybody would be surprised by this is beyond me. It's the "wild west" out there right now in terms of "sports transfers"

The rule has been used DOZENS of times if not hundreds of times. They aren't reasons to rule somebody eligible, they are EXCUSES. The kHSAA is scared to enforce their own rules. Jordan Gary, who lived in the hoptown district moved to a different house in the hoptown district in order to use the "bonafied move" rule when transferring from UHA. Kids have transferred to private schools and use the "move" excuse as the way to get eligible. The KHSAA transfer rules are completely pointless at this point. To argue otherwise is ignoring reality.

Rumors are absolutely false. Started by folks who want UHA to fail. Same folks who started the false kyky Tandy rumors. Pretty sad really.

They return their entire team and beat henderson by 18 this year but henderson will be better next? Hokie dokie. I'm a county fan but losing Roland and tyreke is going to hurt bad.

Tandy and the hollowell's are returning to uha. Lot's of hoptown folks spreading these rumors because they know that UHA will be legit next year with their entire team returning. The sebree transfer was not a "basketball transfer". No need to go into details but all sides in that situation feel good about how everything happened.

Hopkinsville had James Nicholas who transferred over from UHA. Played varsity at UHA as an 8th grader. Also had akeem who they spent 2 years trying to get eligible. Somehow pulled off a miracle and got it done. This is the first season they did not have the top senior transfer over (not for lack of trying) from Christian County in the last 3 seasons.

Folks I know from henderson felt it was robbed from them with the 3 big time transfers hoptown picked up for last season.

Officiating is really bad. VERY inconsistent. If a player makes ANY effort to draw a charge they get the call. Sometimes handchecks are called, sometimes they allow a mugging on the outside. It's very poor imo

I've said all year that hoptown isn't the same without matlock. He won several games for them. Hoptown also didn't get the help from transfers this year that they got the previous two years. So their roster was depleted pretty bad along with losing Matlock. Matlock is one of the best high school players in region 2 in the last 15 years. He was that dominant. He impacted the game in so many ways. Often times he was a "one man press" playing at the top of their 1-2-2. Without him their press isn't much. He also gobbled up TONS of offensive rebounds for them. I think Christian County wins each game by 10 plus. Several Christian County folks I know think that their new coach sandbagged in the district title game. Didn't call timeouts, didn't make adjustments etc... Should be an interesting tournament. Trigg COunty can matchup with Christian County down low with day and acree. but I'm not sure how they will guard ware on the perimeter.

He got a bad technical and could have been thrown out early in the game. Players bad to hold him back. I'll leave it at that. No sense in going into his personality...

Haworth has been known to play a 1-2-2 or 1-3-1. The issue is that his teams learn to rely on the press to get easy buckets. They don't have to buckle down in the half court against average teams so they look bad against teams that can handle their press. He's got to change his entire defensive philosophy...

Reports on Twitter that Haworth may have cussed out some county fans after the game. I didn't see it but it's out there. In terms of the game, county, even when hoptown pulled even, was in control. Ware was in foul trouble and fouled out with 5:00 left and county pulled away. Sebree was great too. This game and other losses are a microcosm of why Haworth hasn't won't a title despite assembling a ton of talent at hoptown the last 5 years. He simply can't beat teams that don't have trouble with his press. Great win for my colonels.

They've been playing better. What they're not afraid to do is push the pace. They're playing 4 freshmen, starting 3. Defense is always they toughest thing to figure out.

They may well have the best freshman in the state too. Tandy is a beast.
