I always enjoyed watching Lunsford while he was at Scott. I know he would of been utilized a great deal this season . I hope and wish nothing but the best for him . Good luck young man .

This Newport Central Catholic team very physical and great down field blocking ! As for Jacob Smith !! He is the Real deal . How many lineman does he have returning with him from the last season ? He adjusts and cuts back really well . With his speed and his all around strength, he can and will continue to give defensive coordinators a headache. Good luck this year !! Can't wait to see him play in person opening game at Scott.

Yeah keeping 2 backs active in the backfield does help , in many cases. It has been productive for Scott with London and Pleasant. Then add a fullback , at times .

In my opinion, he is the best back at Scott right now . This young man puts in the effort on his own during the off season and it shows . I have enjoyed watching him develop and get better year after year. With him and London sharing the spot light this year and big Ron Rice on the line . The Senior running backs should have an explosive year.

Scott's sports are surely moving in the right direction towards making a name for themselves. The football team , is improving. Probably win first district and make noise in playoffs this season. The boys Soccer went to state. Girls volleyball did as well . Girls basketball had a solid season and the boys basketball regardless of tonight ...did well . The baseball team last year won district and I believe will be solid this spring as well.

Any relation to Bill Ford that assisted with offensive line at Scott and Chase Ford who played at Scott ?

Scott needs to be on fire from the perimeter. They also need to get Wilson in early foul trouble, as well as take advantage of the charity stripe. Scott usually does well with the free throws . Control tempo . This game may surprise many tonight on this thread. Go Eagles ! Good luck !!

I like the Tucker Thompson kid. My son played basketball with him in middle school . He is very athletic and competitive, he should do well as qb. Good luck to him and the program !!!

Rumors are Manson County maybe getting a new head coach. If this is the case , it maybe beneficial for the Eagles beings we are in same district. There is always a learning curve with a coaching change . I see the odds being very realistic Eagles pull out 8 wins and district championship.

Wow !! Didn't hear that one ? His father coached there and he graduated from there didn't he ? I had no idea he was leaving Mason. It seemed like a good fit . Wish him the best of luck and the program moving forward if this happens. Are there any rumors who may become head coach at Mason if he leaves ?

I like the move to 4A and I look forward to the matchup with Scott this year !! Last year was a pretty close game . It could of went either way !!! I think it will be a close one again this season !!!

I agree. I think the confidence, Fitzgerald will bring after last season and the solid line , they should open up a passing game and hopefully run more inside holes as well. The help from some younger sophomore talents will definitely contribute and open up some receivers . I also have heard Jake Ohmar and a few other athletic guys from the basketball team maybe joining the roster this season. These boys played as Freshman and at Woodland , but took this past season off only for basketball. They are very athletic. They could be key contributors to receiving and defensive secondary.
