Hoptown only lost 2 guys last year. the three starters are back along with state champ Quan Poindexter from christian county. this is pretty much same team from last years final four run but more experienced and with the talent and size of quan poindexter to help lead the team to where he once has been!

i have only missed a few games this year. hoptown is long and deep. their is one 8th grader dress varsity! hoptown will go 10 deep on the bench without missing a beat on the floor. starters are 6'6 6'6 6'4 5'11 5'11. have 6'5 6'6 6'2 5'11 5'11 coming off the bench. If you want a team that runs a dribble drive type offense in high school this is the school for you. the press is relentless because of length. I have never seen players that never get winded like this team. If a team tries to zone them to make them shoot that wont work either because of hoptowns 3 point shooting ability. This team of players are ready for whatever adversity comes their way. i have never seen a group of players from the west with such fight and drive to win just like being down 16 to warren central this year in the second half and coming back to win by double digits, they just never let up. This team is run off emotion and bully baksetball! Now the bad, the free throw line is where a hoptown fan does not want them to be. alot of good free throw shooters on team it has just been a russian roulette kind of thing all year long for them. they tend to get out of control at times but haworth has a good hold on the boys and lead by Poindexter and Edwards ball IQ they reel them back in to play like they know and were tought to.

here is a stat. Hopkinsville is on a 50+ win streak in region 2! They haven't lost a region 2 game in 3 years. Haworth is 111-17 at hoptown which puts him over .800.

Im not the type to count eggs before they hatch because its anyones title now but i promise you will get your moneys worth on the hoptown games. just such a fun team to watch, full of high flyers and just that run and gun basketball. Im a basketball fanatic and love that type of basketball and most people being from kentucky does too because thats what both schools from this state do on the national level!

yes i agree the charity stripe is hard on the tigers! i personally would rather have Q Cager than not though! He took over last nights game as far as guard play! I couldn't believe Tra held David Simmons to just 2 points the whole game!

spindoc ive seen u show love to hoptown and the west. But i agree ballard was the consensus number #1 in state. Im just joyed to know my tigers are in the talk of it! im Just enjoying it in the moment just like any fan of their Alma mater would! I havent seen someone on here yet just trash the west. Heck we are trying over here to keep up with the east haha. Hey its hard, lot of good teams up yalls way.

I know we in the west can't even come close to hang with the big cities of lville and lex in football so we have to have at least one decent sport in a town from the west haha. i personally think Louisville is one of the better football cities in the country. My dream would be that more big d-1 prospects come out of the state for basketball! To much talent here in the state that's overlooked.

i agree here ballard was number one all year long. hoptown trinity matchup will be great dont know much about trinity but i know they like to slow the game down and hoptown likes to run but can play the half court with the best of them and they stagger the press sometimes when you never know when its coming and get guards all alone in the backcourt and having guys running like db's in football to pick the pass. i know trinity is a big team which will be tough! Hoptowns starting five is 6'6 6'6 6'4 5'11 5'11 with a 6'6 and 6'2 and 5'11 coming off the bench. if trinity keeps Hopkinsville out of the paint and off the boards they will beat my tigers. if hoptown plays strong on the block like they have been i think its theirs to take if they come to play. Also guys watch Hoptowns backup guard Q cager! he is the best guard on the team but comes off the bench to steady the waters, he made all region 2 team. i personally and alot of people in the west believe he is very underrated. scoring 20 in each region game. he can control the pace of the game to his liking. i haven't seen someone with the ball handles he has in a while in the west.He is big to where he can bump and make contact on the way to the basket he really is a treat to watch with his dipsy doo moves. He knows where all his team mates are at all times. He can make defenses collapse on him driving because of his scoring ability but his passing ability is just as good to find the open man once he makes the d collapse on him.

Hoptowns tra Edwards. He is 6'4 and has a 42 inch vertical. He can throw it down. Looks like he never comes down haha. I think bg has a high flyer too

I don't know bout all that. A lot of good teams In the field! I'm a hopkinsville fan myself but all teams are there for a reason! Got to stay hungry! Trinity is very good along with Scott and cov cath and others

I agree winner of hoptown\trinity. Scott county is really good too. Field is more open now though.

Madisonville North Hopkins holds 2500 people, i plan for it to be 2,000 plus there tonight! Hopkinsville and Henderson have been rivals in region 2 for a while now so it will be an environment that will be crazy intense and loud as both fan bases are large and passionate about their basketball and their team! If u live in west ky i really suggest anyone who wants to see a game make it to this one! Ball is thrown at 7!

My game plan would be use Hopkinsville's slashing talent to take the ball straight to Simmons from the get go and hope to get him on the bench with 2 and force cooper off the block and pretty much dare him to face my players up because that seems to be his weakness. Seems that teams runs and feeds off Simmon's game! Henderson doesn't look to have the size to match up with Hopkinsville in the paint. I think Hopkinsville will win but Henderson will not just give this one away!

I would agree haha! I would have headphones on my ears the whole time getting my mind right for the biggest game of the year so far for myself and my team! Nothing any teacher could tell me was more important at the moment than when that ball is tossed up.

It was the worst call I have seen all year long! Those refs don't deserve to even be on the floor! Uha got robbed that game tonight. Hopefully hoptown hendo game will not have those three officials.

I heard Hendersons Duckworth is out for season not sure if its true or not but if he is they lose alot of post presence.

Uha looses at much as hoptown this year. Best game I've seen uha play all season. I'm not one to get on the officials but the ones tonight were absolutely horrible on both ends of the floor.
