I agree seeing both teams play I honestly think hoptown is quicker than Ballard is. They are literally a track meet. It will come down to turnovers and discipline. Hoptowns disadvantage is can get out of control at times. But hoptowns bench is also deep not sure much of Ballard bench. Will be a close game I would hope as both play the same style

I agree Ballard is number one in state no doubt! The 3 past it is almost how a single person wants to rank them.

Edwards I believe ppg is hoptowns biggest scorer.

Two guards in tra Edwards and khale dod. Both will be back prolly by middle of next week.

Hopkinsvilles Tra Edwards is out 2 weeks for pulling a nerve and concussion. Kale dod is also out for next two games because of a tooth being replaced because of being knocked out last week against Muhlenburg . Hoptown is down two guards, one of them being one of Hopkinsville's stars. We will see how they respond.

I hope he puts on for the Bluegrass State.

I have seen most every game hoptown played this season and UHA game was worst i have seen them play this year. Just couldnt ever get it going until late in the 3rd. Hoptown was up double digits in first half but let UHA back in it.

I agree. Hoptown picked up to more games next week against Taylor county and Southwestern i believe. Taylor comes to next friday to Hoptown and Hoptown will turn around and go to Southwestern the following day.

Haworth played full jv team from middle of the 3rd until the end of the game.

I heard Ballards coach was there watching hoptown last night but i dont know who he is so i cant assure that statement.

It wasn't so much snow here it was ice. Power out in lots of places and just cant get roads fully clean in the county for busing in those areas. I doubt they go tomorrow either.

Yes it sure is! hoptown has rescheduled the game against UHA twice already, this will be the third attempt. No school today but hoptown is having to play Ft Campbell anyway because of the schedule is jammed tight now. Hoptown hasn't attended school all week.

As I heard this morning Hoptown will not make the trip to Joe B classic Sunday. Not sure why if weather or rescheduled games. Hoptown is having to make up a district game in next two weeks cause of weather and is having to squeeze it in somewhere cause of 5 games in the next 9 days. If I get anymore info I will keep you all posted.

i saw another thread dated back where its was top 25 players and edwards is by far in the top ten i know a bunch of you all said yall havent seen hoptown but if get past henderson in regions i promise tra edwards will def be a talk of the tournament. Oklahoma state is looking at him hard this year. averaging 23 points a game i think.

hey guys ive seen hoptown a bunch of times im from hopkinsville and no im not biased i know the game and will give credit to any team that is good and love to toalk general basketball to anyone. hoptowns size gives them advantages against most teams. i have seen ballard at hoopfest i think ballard is better than hopkinsville overall but hoptown can beat ballard i dont think its a huge gap between the teams. hoptowns full court press defense i have found reeks havoc on guards. hoptowns size makes it to where the teams cant throw over it and panic in the backcourt as someone above said hopkinsville makes it a track meet which is true. this hoptown team is better than last years. they lost majors but picked up christian countys 6'6 poindexter. matlock is alot better this year his shooting is still questionable which is the weakness with them i think. tra edwards gets to the basket at will. i watched em play warren central and he was the guy that rallied them back to win. his athletism and 42 inch vertical makes him very agile around the basket and is a very smooth player. people can say matlock is the best player which isnt true edwards is by far the go to guy. ill try to keep everyone updated on west ky ball.
