As I heard this morning Hoptown will not make the trip to Joe B classic Sunday. Not sure why if weather or rescheduled games. Hoptown is having to make up a district game in next two weeks cause of weather and is having to squeeze it in somewhere cause of 5 games in the next 9 days. If I get anymore info I will keep you all posted.

Yes it sure is! hoptown has rescheduled the game against UHA twice already, this will be the third attempt. No school today but hoptown is having to play Ft Campbell anyway because of the schedule is jammed tight now. Hoptown hasn't attended school all week.

How much snow does WKY have? Just a little snow dusting here in Estill County. Most of it's already melted on my yard. Not much snow here at all.

 

We're suppose to have some light snow this weekend.

It wasn't so much snow here it was ice. Power out in lots of places and just cant get roads fully clean in the county for busing in those areas. I doubt they go tomorrow either.

1/2 ice here in the Ville as well. Oldham Co out, rumor is they couldn't pry the bus doors open.

I think most of our roads are clear. I know their has been a lot of traffic coming off the mountains and my little road in the past few days. Now, the other night coming home from the game against Buckhorn, in a spot coming down Lee County mountain, the bus had to go like 10 MPH because their was ice on the roads.

Snow was 3-5 inches on Sunday but the main problem was the freezing rain all day Tuesday. Side roads are still really bad. Most schools will be out tomorrow as well making it a clean sweep for the week.

 

Looks like there will be some games played tomorrow night.

Estill has now canceled school for tomorrow.

With the weather predictions, I believe the Joe B Hall gets cancelled this year.

 

I would hope that whichever schools can participate would be allowed to come and play whomever makes it there. If scheduling a four-game eight-team event means it is all called off if any one of the teams can't make it then I don't foresee many of these things being attempted in the future.

 

The Jock Sutherland (at Lafayette) could very well suffer the same fate.

I don't think one school in the second region has been in session this week. I am located in Madisonville and Hopkins County has been out all week along with Union and Henderson County. We received 5 inches of snow but we had quarter inch ice on top of it and side roads and back roads are a mess. Our biggest problem is all schools around here have not been able to clear off parking lots. Ice on bottom and on top. Temps around 10-15 degrees today are making most games for this coming weekend to be cancelled. It has been safer to not have any activities at the schools. Several coaches that I have talked to have not even been allowed to practice. Its been a mess.
