After dodging last years destructive "purge" and forcing St Xavier to move the game to Simon Kenton, due to fan safety, talk is underway between the two schools to once again move the game. The annual Perseid meteorite shower is at its peak and fan safety is in jeopardy again. The Simon Kenton players are more than willing to forsake their own safety and show one of the Louisville big boys that they can compete against anyone are lobbying to play the game. The Simon Kenton coaching staff and fans on the other hand would feel safer playing the game at home. St Xavier has said they would provide umbrellas to prevent meteorite strikes and keep several ambulances on hand just in case. Meteorites or not, lets hope sanity reigns, the game is played and players and fans have a great, safe time. But just to be sure I would not drive to this game in a convertible, and by all means spray on plenty of meteorite repellant.

So your point is that not one player who has ever played in a superbowl has ever been a 4 or 5 star High school player? Who told you this and why would you believe them? Anyone with even basic knowledge of High School/College/Pro football game would know that this is an argument based upon absolutely nothing and to believe such a statement bizarre to say the least. There are facts and there is this. And this is opposite of facts. I don't understand this at all

A lot going on at Trinity these days. It's a great school, with a lot of great students, teachers, alumni, coaches and administrators. I am impressed with the class they have displayed throughout their past and presently. Good Luck on another fine season. Watch out for those powerhouse NKY schools! Trinity was very lucky in last years championship, it will be hard for the Rocks to pull off the upset against NKY two years running!

Congratulations to Trinity and St X on having seasons that exceeded their talent. the two teams with the least amount of talent finished playing for the regional championship in the state playoffs. Superior coaching or just players willing themselves to playing beyond their talent? how does a team have the most talent yet finish 0-4 against district foes? Coaching?

I predict Simon Kenton wins the state Championship next year. With all of the 2A, 1A and 1/2A teams they schedule they are obviously preparing for a 2A or 1A state championship run. Come on man..................... Schedule the big boys.

Impressed with Lafayette stepping up. If you can't run with the big dogs don't get off the porch. Lafayette got off the porch. Looks like NKY 6A can talk the talk but can't walk the walk. What a shame, their players deserve better

Dixie in a close one?????? Dixie had an easy one against Simon Kenton. They should be well rested. Ballard had a barn burner against Butler. they will be recovering from the normal bruises/minor injuries received in a close game. How will Ballard's tough game effect them? Will it better prepare them for a much tougher Dixie or did it take something out of them. How will Dixie's second blowout over Simon Kenton effect them? With two near running clock games against Simon Kenton they had to be sleep walking last week. Ballard will have much more fight than Simon Kenton and no way they roll over. But will this be enough? This looks more like Dixie versus Ryle. Ryle put up a good fight against Dixie in both games but it just wasn't enough. I'll predict Ballard's speed keeping it close for three quarters, but Dixie pulling away in the fourth. Congratulations to both teams for getting this far!

Way too many St X and Trinity fans believe that this will be a one sided affair similar to the game played earlier this year. I'll go with the prediction that the team that turns the ball over the most will lose. Congratulations to both teams for getting this far in the playoffs. Hope to have a great game next Friday. Good luck to the winner of this game in winning the state championship.

Found out about the cause of the fight. Was told by friend that Coach Beatty told Male's Coach to "enjoy turning in your equipment tomorrow". This evidently set off Male's coach. Poor way to end a great game. Beatty should not have said that and Male's coach should have walked away
