Raekwon Long back to North Carolina?
Gotta say from a personal perspective, regardless of talent, bouncing to and from schools year to year has to be difficult for a 16-17 year old kid. Can 't establish firm friendships, feeling like you don't have a real home, etc. Not sure of the reasons (hopefully it was primarily his decision), but I'd hate to see others using a young man like this to further their own agenda.

Carroll County 2014
Is Hogan going to be better on the football field or on the basketball court?

Franklin County coaching job open
If anyone in the area is primed for a head coaching job it would be Tim Glenn. From the outside looking in, this could be a case of staying idle until Billy Hicks leaves.

Walton Verona 2014/2015
I'm familiar with all but Brooke. What year is he?

Walton Verona 2014/2015
You seem to be familiar with them. What do you anticipate their starting five to look like?

Takeaways From This Past Weekend's KBA Action
Seems like the only schools attending are in two buckets: 1) are located far enough away that they aren't experienced enough at KBA to know how poor the officiating is; and 2) are there as a matter of convenience only. If there's any other available option, then many schools aren't attending.

Georgetown Team Camp
Henry Clay won the JV tournament portion of the camp.

AAU State Tournament @ KBA
No doubt, schools/teams stay away from KBA because of the officiating. Not a single North. Ky. team was there this weekend.

June High School Ball
Anyone know what the Scott Co. June schedule looks like? With some heavy losses, might be interesting to see how they fill in the gaps.

Lexington Future-15U
Heard this group is headed to Nashville this weekend for the Corey Brewer Classic.

Summer Camps
I know in the Lexington area this summer there are a couple of well known camps: 1) Blue Chip Camp at Georgetown Coll.; and 2) 5 Star Camp at Asbury (this is new to the area I believe). Do/will these camps truly attract good competition or do these camps attract a poor mix of those with talent and those without (but were willing to pay the high price for the camp)? Does the cost of these camps eliminate most good players? Is there value in having a player attend these camps?

Williamstown 2014/2015
Two names in the past 20-50 years does not constitute a basketball tradition.

AAU 2014
Tre' King is not with the 9th grade group. Dontell, Taveion, JuJuante along with a couple more from Lafayette and a couple from Scott Co. are on the Future's 9th grade group. They played up this weekend and lost by 2 to 606Tropics this weekend at KBA. They're a high octane offense and will be tough to handle in their age division.

Cooper's Zach McNeil Commits
Cole McCubbin (starter at Gallatin Co.) and Isaiah Hogan (starter at Carroll Co.) would've been in this group as well.
