I was planning on checking out some games at Boyle County High School this week but apparently their gym was destroyed by a stupid "senior prank." I was told it was more than $100,000 in damage and all those games are now cancelled.

I believe Montgomery Co is playing at Lexington Catholic tonight. I don't know times though.

I don't know all the details. I just heard all the games this week are cancelled. Maybe PP92 can confirm?

My son was called to ref at LexCath today (Mon) thru Thurs, 2-10PM. They usually run two courts in the main gym + 1 in the old gym, sometimes start late or finish early if a team cancels, and sometimes only have 1-2 floors still going at the end of the night, but lots of games during prime time. Frosh, JV, and varsity. Entry usually through rear doors only.

A senior prank at Boyle County caused extensive damage to the floor at Boyle County. Their summer schedule is now unknown but should be known by the end of the day. No games there for the next two weeks and I was told the damage was between 10-30K. I was told those numbers last week when there was still hope to use the floor last week. Now that we know the floor won't be able to be used for a couple of weeks I wouldn't be surprised if the figure of 100K was accurate but I can't confirm it.

 

I trust the administration to handle this situation promptly and correctly.

Boyle County summer league games have been moved to mercer county to play rest of summer. There will not be games on june 4th as originally scheduled and some teams may back out but they will be held there.

Grant County just tweeted they're hosting games this weekend. They have Ryle, Boone, Highlands, Jackson County, Paris, Danville, and Simon Kenton coming. Here's the schedule they posted:

I'm not sure what the circumstances are but that's an unfortunate outcome for everyone. I'm sure they'll end up in some trouble.
