First congrats to the SO win over the Birds. Somebody claimed SO is one of the best teams in the state, I'll guess we will see next week.

Birds played to win, too bad the coaching staff wasn't on the same page. Great effort from the players.

In the state title game Owensboro against Highlands ran the option. Highlands couldn't stop it. Highlands made adjustments and Owensboro didn't score in the second half. If the coaching staff at Highlands can't figure it out, they should call Dale. SO might have a decent passing game but they haven't seen a secondary as good as Highlands. Go Birds!!

S. Oldham's D gives up 112 rushing and 62 yards passing per game on average.

KHSAA has them ranked 20th in the state.

I did some research, Birds need to play their best game of the year. South Oldham Co. looks good on paper. SOS is a big question. National rank is 2206/ KY state rank is 30. 5A stat leaders: Keaton Martin is #12 of 20 rushing per game, has 13TD"s and 103 YPG. Drew Zaubi is #17 of 20. He has completed 52 passes for 935 yards with 2 interceptions and 16 TD"s. Team is #3 of 20 in scoring @ 41.5 per game. This should be a very exciting game, for sure. Good luck to both teams and hope the game is injury free for both teams.

It wasn't that long ago somebody with Purple in their user name predicted strongly that Greenwood would put a running clock on the Birds. Has something changed at Greenwood that would effect that prediction? I don't think a long drive would make a 35 point difference. Got any info on Greenwood that you can share? Not much chatter on BGP about this team.

Highlands will play up like always, unless KHSAA tells them otherwise. They can't play down and would not even consider it. They belong in 4A, but I can't see that happening either. I would be shocked to see them in 4A again. (JMO)

Anybody notice number 72 over center on D on the last play? He was 6'3 and 330 pounds and played center on O all night. Ryle wasn't going to push that guy around. Kudos to Ryle, great effort.
