Ryle 7on7 tournament
Oh no trash talking in a competitive setting, the horror.

Ryle 7on7 tournament
LexCath won. Beat Ryle in the championship. Knights went undefeated in non-tournament play then lost to Ryle in the winner's bracket final. They then dropped down and knocked Highlands out in the losers bracket and came back to beat Ryle in the final. I agree with you Lex about JJ Ogbogu being an All-State WR. I don't know if he'll actually end up on the list because 75% of that is politics but he has that kind of talent.

Lafayette's Wills Rare Five-Star Recruit
5 star recruits from Kentucky seem to be getting less rare recently. 2013: James Quick was a 5 star on Scout 2014: Matt Elam was a 5 star on 24/7 2015: Damien Harris was a 5 star on just about every service 2017: Jedrick Wills is one on Rivals. Heck even in the 2016 class KY has produced the #1 center in the nation in Drake Jackson. The state is putting out more elite talent than ever before.

7on7 @ Bowling Green High School
I've been to multiple national 7-on-7 tournaments and many across the state and I've never heard of one where teams used the full field. Half field would be regular in my experience. The not changing position after a turnover on downs is common when the 7-on-7 is being done just to get some work in and not really competitive. Hope that helps!

Lexington Catholic 2015
Watched Catholic play 7-on-7 against Bryan Station and another team who I don't know who they were. 1st team offense played very well all day. Legend Brumbaugh got the vast majority of the 1st team reps and preformed very well. I could see some plays where his inexperience was noticeable but he is very talented. I've said in the past that if the Knights had decent QB play this year then throw their name in the ring with Belfry, Boyle, and Central as favorites for the 3A crown. After today's 7-on-7 I think they will end up with very good QB play from Legend. Of course this was only 1 7-on-7 and a lot will change when the pads come on but I am very happy with what I have seen so far. Bottom line is this team will be a strong contender for the 3A title.

Pick the Mr. Football Watch List
I would say Jaylen Jones from LexCath should make the watch list. Will put up great stats for a team with a very real chance to win 3A and plays a premier position (RB).

The All 2000's Team
For LexCath these 3 were worthy of an honorable mention in my opinion. Justin Burke QB (NC State/ UofL) Ben Revere ATH (MLB but would have been a 2 sport ATH in college at Georgia if he had taken that route) Brandon Logan LB (Michigan but could have picked his school out of high school)

2018 LexCath G TC Price offered
He was a freshman on a senior lead team that won the hardest district and region in the state. But to be honest I neither want nor care about your opinion on anything based on the rest of your time spent on this board.

2018 LexCath G TC Price offered
TC Price a 2018 SG from LexCath received his first off from Toledo, according to his Twitter account. Congrats TC!

Ranking The Top 10 Private and Military Schools Since 2000
I'd move LexCath over Desales but I agree for the rest. The Knights have the same amount of State and Regional Titles but also have 17 more wins in the time frame while being in a tougher class (IMO). The Colts only lead is by 1 State title appearance. Also would like to add that I am a homer.

Scott County 2015
Scott Daniel from 2 years ago went to Eastern Kentucky and last season Grayson Miller signed with Michigan State. That's all I have in terms of D1 players off the top of my head. Fun fact: Keith Guy is the cousin of Winston Guy, former LexCath and Kentucky Wildcat great who is currently with the Colts in the NFL.

Scott County 2015
Should be a good season with the offensive talent (both skill and lineman) we have back. Defense and QB will be a question mark early but should contend for the 3A title. Don't want to hijack this thread though so more in-depth LexCath stuff will be on their team thread.
-
Scott County 2015
Not many people Scott County supporter's on the board and he doesn't have a D1 offer yet. (that I'm aware of) Without those things hard for a player's name to get out there.

Scott County 2015
They'll be pretty good. Keith Guy will be one of the top running backs in the state.

The Ten Best Uniforms In Kentucky High School Football
I like these unique helmets. Really makes most of these uniforms and saves them from being boring.

Schedule for Today's LexCath camp
I saw on Twitter that JJ Ogbogu from LexCath had a really nice transition dunk on a guy, I'll try and link it if I can figure it out.

2017 QB Tanner Morgan - Ryle
Coach Engler has coached several D1 quarterbacks and I know the last 2, Kyle Bolin and Reese Ryan, were praised for their footwork by recruiting gurus. (I don't know about the others because I didn't read recruiting stuff back then). So he should be able to improve in that area.

Luke Johnson transfers back to LexCath
According to his Twitter G Luke Johnson has transferred back to Lexington Catholic. Johnson, the younger brother of former Knight star Tanner, sat out last season at Lafayette after transferring there from Catholic. Like his brother Luke can really fill it up. Will help out the Knights next season as they try to defend their 11th region title.

2017 QB Tanner Morgan - Ryle
