How many points does Euton have?

I would say he has a good chance. If Elliot plays 15 more times this year that would put him around 2300 to 2400 at the end of the year. Then he would have to average about 20 to 25 a game next year. I like his chances.

Interesting how that happens when the Ashland posters don't post. J/K Actually it is refreshing.

I think this question will answer itself over the next 1 1/2 seasons. At this point in time the 61 Tomcats are the best.

I sincerly apologize for taking your post the wrong way. I personally get no more excitment out of beating Ashland than I do Fairview or Boyd. With seeding they are all equally important. For me alot of the bitterness left when Biggs took over. He has been nothing but a class act and to me this is quickly becoming what it should be, a healthy rivalry. Tonight was what high school sports are all about. No ugly signs, no beratting the opponents bench, just clean fun. Both sides have been guilty in the past but tonight everyone acted the right way. :thumb:

I've been reading a bunch but just haven't had much to say. Rose Hill has been on the road so much I haven't had many opprotunities to see them play.

I classic case why I have refrained from posting. I simply wanted to say something good about a few kids. Anyway thanks for stating the obvious.

I have refrained from posting all year but I just have to say how happy I am for Mike Davis, Alex Malloy, Robbie Barber, Tony Arthur, and Johnny Bush. All of them have had to endure constant criticism for their supposed lack of contribution but tonight they were clearly major factors. Davis had 12 and 16 so I think everyone can drop the two man team crap. Hats off to the Rose Hill community for coming out in force tonight and and thanks to Mrs. Burgess the student section more than held their own .

15 of the 16 teams in the state tournament were public schools. All of the final four are public schools. What happend to the great advantage enjoyed by privates?

In my opinion Terry finished where she should have based on this years performance. Queen 1, Terry 2. I'm still trying to figure out how Pam Euton did what she did with such inferior talent. Russell was better at every position and Rose Hill beat them by double figures.

Did Dawson win the award? He was a senior. Looks to me like the award is based on part of your senior year.

I mean to belittle no one other than those who refuse to vote for kids just because they go to Rose Hill. Fortman is an excellent player and is deserving of much credit but if anyone thinks that there were three better players in the region than Emily Queen then they are biased, prejudice or both. I'll go with both. If anyone thinks for 1 second that Queen didn't lose votes because she attends Rose Hill then they are fooling themselves. Same can be said for Faulkner last year. Plus Pam Euton will never receive a vote. Other coaches refuse to recognize that she took an undermanned team to the regional championship. I can't say that I blame them, if I was outperformed by someone who has no formal training I would be in denial also. It is embarrassing and shameful. Did Mayo when the award when he was here? Once again Rose Hill paid their dues but their kids didn't get enough votes. That excuse is no longer valid. From now on we should save our money.

I don't think so. All one vote would have done is possibly move queen into a tie for 3rd. I'm sure Pam finished last in the voting. Professional male coaches don't like getting thumped by inexperienced females.

No since sugarcoating it. The excuse has always been Rose Hill didn't pay their dues. Well apparently they paid enough dues to finish 2nd and 4th just not first. This is the 2nd year in a row where and injustice was done. Faulkner got job last year, Queen this year, and Pam Euton this year. Look you have to give Pam some credit. She won this year when no one thought she would and did it with 2 starters that wouldn't have started at Russell, Rowan, East, Ashland or most of the other top schools. Last year I heard that character was an issue. Apparently Faulkner's transfer was an issue. So what is the reason for Queen? She was and is the best player in the region, she proved it night in and night out and over several years. Whether you like it or not they share one common denominator.

The KABC vote is a joke. It was last year and was again this year. Pam Euton, Kala Faulkner, and Emily Queen should receive letters of apology from everyone who cast those embarrassing votes. This isn't a conspiracy theory it is a simple fact. The all time leading scorer and rebounder in region history finishes 4th? I think Rose Hill should say their $15. Master Card should have a commercial that ends with: KABC POY and COY the year in the 16th region. $15.00 Real value of the award. WORTHLESS.

I'm of the opinion that every award in the 16th region is a joke. Queen is arguably the best player ever from this region. Not this year, ever and somehow she isn't player of the year or on the East all star team.
