  1. Well I have heard that if they move, his younger son maybe held back. That could also be a motive as well. However, if they stay and hold him back CCH will be loaded in the years to come. You have a younger Thelen and the younger Ruthsatz.
  2. As I have said in the past the KY Bulldogs will be a tough matchup for anyone, there coach is someone that seems to always get the best out of kids.
  3. Can we get a box score, please? This game featured several aau teammates, as Liechty of Cooper plays with Schreck, Hedger, and Bolin of the Kentucky Bulldogs. They will have a formidable 17u squad this summer. I believe they had a final four finish at state last year, and are one of the the better programs around the state.
  4. I have heard a lot of good things about Woods, but with Bolden Ive seen him play several times and he is a mediocre defensive player. Who does he guard at the next level? I feel as those we are yet to see the best from Hall or McDonald. You do not see a big man with McDonald's footwork and skill set everyday. Hall is athletic as they come, and is a work horse. I have not seen enough of Spaulding, but I know he has high upside. Moreover, I put McDonald and Hall ahead of Bolden because bigs are harder to come by than 6'1 combo guards.
  5. 1. Cameron Justice 2. Raymond Spaulding 3. Evan Hall 4. Drew McDonald 5. James Bolden 6. Jeremiah Tisdale 7. Eli Pepper 8. Jax Levitch 9. Skyler Hunter 10. Aric Holman 11. Matt Rose 12. JaQualis Matlock 13. Tanner Johnson 14. Jalen Perry Others to watch: Trey Moses, Tyler Miller, Sean Ross, Corey Douglas, Bo Schuh, Dre Jackson, Ronnie Carson, Timmy Taylor, Brenden Stanley, Austin Schreck, Jacob Conway, Zach Pangallo, Jacob Conway, Thoughts?
  6. How is Simpson going to be playing on Sundays, when he doesnt even start at UK. I know him and he is a great player, but still as of right now its not happening.
  7. Honestly, CCH will win by 10 plus. Dixie just doesnt have the personal to play with them. Highlands is the King Pin in NKY and CCH is and always will be second to no one in NKY. I thinks its funny, how people throw around the term D1 in any sport. Honestly, I can recall people saying PVS was d1 and he played at Georgetown. In my opinion he is the best player to come out of NKY in football in the last 6 years. I forgot Miles Simpson, so I would put PVS behind him.
  8. I really like his potential, he has good size, and is big strong. Look forward to seeing him develop. There is something special brewing over at Campbell for the next few seasons.
  9. Then he must be a stud football player, because he has a killer jump shot and good footwork.
  10. He is great ball player, if anyone is going to make McDonald and Schulte work this year, its him and his partner in crime Mitch Bolin.
  11. Cooper's coach, Sullivan, is a guy to watch out for in the future. Also Ruthsatz a CCH could be a great one; he seems to have a true passion for the game and his kids and CCH love playing for him, he has a bunch of talent coming through with the incoming frosh, the kids in eighth and seventh grade. Snapp of Newport is a good coach, who demands effort and toughness from his players. He has, in my opinion, done more with less. Also, his name slips my mind, but I really like the what the coach from Mercer County is doing. There are many great coaches around the state, who often dont get the publicity they deserve. Its hard to win big when a team like Ballard is absolutely loaded and other Louisville schools dominate the state tournament year in and out. Also its hard to make it out of the regional tournament, because nowadays kids always know a few of the opposing players and it makes it that much tougher because of personal rivalries.
  12. I think they will struggle with Dixie in the district, because of Dixie's all around size. Hatton and Schreck make up one of the bigger backcourts in the ninth, and Hatton is tough matchup for anyone because of his girth and skill set. Hedger, Bolin, and Niehaus are much bigger than St. Henry's front court. Im interested to see St. Henry play this year, because I really like their senior class as a collective whole. With that said, I do expect them to pull a few upsets this year, because of St. Henrys versatile players. I wouldnt be surprised to see them make a run at NKU this year.
  13. St Henry might surprise some people with Rechtin, Plummer, Kunstek, Noble, and the sophomores: Goetz and Wallenhorst. They will be tough and gritty, and not afraid to get physical with you. They are a blue collar team and should be St. Henry's best team in awhile. I like their collection of talent and each kid is capable of guarding multiple positions.
  14. He is a good player, who is transitioning to the perimeter. He is well built and powerful, however he needs to work on his handles and his lateral quickness.
  15. One player who I dont see getting any pub is Tanner Johnson from Lex Cath. He will be very tough the next few years. He is a 6'5 knock down shooter. I would expect him to get some d1 looks, he has a very bright future ahead in the game of basketball. He looks to be getting stronger and improved ball handling and defense could take him along way. In the right system he can cause a head ache for the opposing team.
  16. When I saw Bezold play in June, he looks to becoming into his own. Someone said he runs with the NKU team and I would expect someone who is around that level of basketball to become a solid player.
  17. I dont expect him to make the regional first team, but what I expect is from Cole is someone who makes life easier on the older guys. His court vision and awareness are phenomenal for someone his age. I expect he will score between 4-6 points a game on varsity, while helping find ways to get the ball to Ruthstaz, Bo, and other kids who are in good position to score. The kid has talent, but not to be overlooked is his determination to win. He will do what is asked to put his team in position to win. Another kid people are over looking in the ninth region freshman class is Moe Thiel, he is a 3/4 right now and he may continue to grow. However, I dont expect him to be more than a role player while at CCH, because Ive been told he will play summer baseball and focus on that. I still expect him to contribute in about two years. CCH also has a 6'4 kid coming in from St. Agnes, Ive heard he maybe raw, but is an excellent athlete. People are still expecting this kid to grow.
  18. Walter, seems like you prefer Meyer to Von Handorf. I will take Cole over him everyday of the week and twice on Sundays. Thats not a slight against the Meyer kid. But i believe Cole will have superior coaching and he made the top forty at the fab frosh camp. Cole is the kind of player we have not seen in NKY in awhile.
  19. Honest question, have you ever seen a d1 high major kid up close? There is just a difference in size. NKY high schools produce some great players, but there is difference between being a 6'5 post player at CCH who can dominate in the NkY. Teams around the state such as Henry Clay have 6'7 wings, that is a major difference. Also compare the build of someone like Snider to Bolden. While both are d1 players, Snider has an offer from UCLA because of his size, strength, and speed. Bolden is good, but he needs to add muscle and fill out his frame. Also the competition in NKY isnt that great; but your starting to see a rise in the caliber of player in the NKY. There are several kids who may or will play d1 ball. My favorites to reach that level are Bolden, Macdonald, Weyer, and he may be young but Cole Von Handorf. The kid has all the intangibles, he just needs to grow a couple inches and fill out his body. Also a kid being division 1 caliber is not something to throw around, there are about 330 d1 schools; on average each team welcomes 5-6 newcomers a year. These kids are competing against players from all over the globe for a scholarship, on top of that they are competing with transfers, and also juco transfers. That roughly gives a team about 3-4 spots for a freshman.
  20. He is great young player, does he project as a three or a stretch four at the next level? He needs to put on some muscle, but knowing some of those close to him, they are well aware. Im looking forward to seeing him play this year.
  21. Pangallo is good, but he took aau off. I think their are several guards that have surpassed him in the area. Cory Douglas from Ballard is very impressive, Im surprised the travelers haven't asked about him. In my opinion he is the best player in Louisville for his age group.
  22. @colonel crazy who would your team be then? Obviously most talented guard collection in that time frame for cch? I would go with those three, especially in the ninth region.
  23. I have heard this as well, but many people Ive talked to have said he will be back and ready to go. Also many have said he is the second most talented player on the roster and expect him to return at full strength. Hope he has a quick and healthy recovery!
  24. He is a great kid, and he has a high basketball IQ. I really look forward to watching him develop the next few years.
  25. CovCath Nestide (spelling) guard Todd Jacobs guard Ruthsatz guard Brian Lewin forward Votel forward
